I honestly could care less about what anyone else thinks about my music choices. I still think Justin Timberlake can actually sing and someone else’s opinion won’t make me change mine. Granted, I will never actually buy a Lil’ Wayne CD, but there are some singles out there from him that I like…like Shooter with Robin Thicke.
I assume you judge songs like that one based on your like or dislike of the individual?
My musical taste (and talent) is broad. I am not easily locked down into one genre over another.
You, on the other hand, seem closed minded enough to be just like that.[/quote]
I definitly wouldn’t use close minded. Like I said I’m open to most music. I’m definitly not locked down to one genre at all, as I mentioned before. I listen to all sorts of music from country to techno to rap, hell I even listen to music in languages I don’t understand.
The reason I won’t give him credit is because of the emotion behind the song. The way he sings it makes it seem so fake. The lyrics tied in with emotion just sound totally off. Just seems like another wanna-be gangsta to me. If your out for some more musically talented rap where all the elements come together better check out atmosphere.
the cool kids - bakesale ep
three 6 mafia - last 2 walk
blood raw - my life the true testimony

gillie needs his own tv show, the guy is too funny in interviews and i cant take him serious when he is talking nor when he is rapping cause of the facial expressions he makes too bad the single he released awhile ago was ass cheeks
In my opinion Its Dark and Hell is Hot by DMX is the best rap album ever by far. DMX still comes out with good songs but I don’t think he is near as good anymore.
Some of his best songs for lifting weights to (but he has a million others)-
I couldn’t be bothered to read the whole thread, but a whole album that you can drive real fast to, and is brilliant in my mind, is
“the fat of the land” by Prodigy
“Confessions of a dangerous mind” Busta Rhymes mixtape, is old but also really good.
