New Music

I’m liking Mac Miller’s album, not sure if it’s been shared here:

Trolling?? Dude, she just got signed by Colombia records,“Gucci Gucci” is playing on the radio on the West Coast, and shes getting exposure on GQ and MTV. Shes the real deal. her songs are catchy and fun,I been listening to this at the gym for a week now and I cant wait to see her in concert if she ever comes to Houston. BEE-LEE DAT,HOMEBOY.

Gucci Gucci is funny, but she won’t make another song as good as that, ever.
She’s a west coast hipster.
Oakland is the new Williamsburg.

New Nas single.
Guarantee the album disappoints.
Just like the rest of them.

Before bad meets evil

Blu is dropping his first major album sometime this year NoYork!

Sene is a rapper picked up by Blu, track is produced by Blu but rapper is Sene

Elzhi is a great rapper out of Michigan as well, most notably worked with Black Milk and Royce Da 5’9"

His recent album dropped this year is a tribute to Nas’s Illmatic, everything is sampled from that album but Elzhi tried to make it his own. Really good shit, brings back those roots of early 90’s. I believe the entire album is free

Bands like Die Antwoord got signed by Interscope, that doesn’t make them good in any way. Fair enough if you like her music, but comparing her to Eminem is laughable.

Honestly through bro, there are about 5 or 6 weird artists in rap at any given time, they all have some kind of hipster appeal that gets them talked about online, they all have some sort of appeal for the lowest common denominator, and they’re all supposed to be the next big thing.

But it almost never works out, and when it does it’s only for maybe one album or song.

Drake new album is going to be great.

Sorry for the clean version, but it’s the only one youtube that isn’t sped up or slowed down too much.

Pff

Saigon recently released his long awaited dÃ?©but album “Greatest Story Never Told.” The whole album is straight fire and mostly produced by one of best producers out there right now; Just Blaze.

Also looks like dude has been hitting the gym pretty hard too.

I’ve also recently been introduced to Tech N9ne. I can’t count how many times I’ve replayed Caribou Lou over the past couple of days. It’s amazing how an independent track like that shits all over any mainstream commercial shit made for club play nowadays. And Tech N9ne just seems to keep rising - his latest release All 6’s and 7’s is at the top of the Billboard 200 for rap albums and the 200 overall. And he’s independent! Dude is outselling Rick Ross and all those other industry bitches. He’s probably making more money than those guys too, none of that 360 garbage, which means he gets to keep the money he gets from touring. Talk about ironic.

Worldwide Choppers is probably the hardest track out right now:

Man it’s hard to describe Tech N9ne. He’s so different from all the other rappers out there. I don’t think Ive ever seen such a diverse and unique discography by one artist - he’s got tracks you want to bump hard, tracks that are dark, uplifting, wacky, lyrical, etc you name it. But more than that he’s got one of the best flows I have ever heard.

It looks like all the good hip-hop is underground. I have no idea what is happening to the music industry but it’s not good. I mean even a TALENTED signed guy like Jay Cole, patented as the next big thing in rap, can’t even release an album out and he’s been inked with Jay-Z for like two years now. Personally I think a lot of it is the music industry and the major labels trying to figure out their new financial models. The internet has changed the game so much they don’t know what to do with their artists. They’re milking them for what they’re worth then moving on to the next one. And they’re also taking away artists’ creative liberties, which is probably the biggest crime of them all. Don’t expect to hear any new Eminems on the radio.

Tyler the Creator.

^Assmilk is one of my favourites.

New Common featuring Nas- Ghetto Dreams

His new album is called the Believer, and will be entirely produced by No ID, apparently [before they were saying Kanye would be involved…]. No ID has been on a roll the past few years though and he and Common have a history, so I’m excited. BTW Nas spazzed.

Produced by Kanye West and No ID. Amazing beat, great song. The horns sort of remind me of Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth’s T.R.O.Y.

Good song. I like their last album and it looks like they are going for a similar sound on their new album. Can’t wait for it to come out.

Just found this recently myself. Got most of the tracks, not bad for the gym -

Just got introduced to this recently.

Lil Wayne just put out a new free mixtape, called Sorry 4 the Wait. Here are a couple of songs:

Hopsin MURDERS Tyler the Creator. Hottest diss track since a long time? Diss track of the year for sure.

Tyler fans turn away.

Some Kizomba to bump this thread :

I get a little tired of people making lame ass remarks when it comes to rap or hip hop in general, mostly because no one is taking pot shots at metal music (despite many of those lead singers not being able to hold a note if their lives depended on it).

I also don’t watch much MTV because it irritates me…like a bad itch in the middle of your back that you can’t reach.

I just want to know what’s out there that I need to be downloading quickly. I am also NOT looking for people to just list off what rappers they think make them seem hardcore. I am also not just looking for Hip Hop songs as I listen to everybody from Breaking Benjamin to Busta Rhymes.

I want songs I can lift weights to…and drive fast to.

For a place to start:
Lil Wayne - Lollipop Remix featuring Kenya West

Wow! This thread has been going for three years!

Lil Wayne? You serious? BWAHAHAHAHA!

Is that new enough?

Most of RHCP’s music has been “meh”, since BSSM. But, I like this tune… And, it’s made me curious as to what the new CD (Aug. 30) sounds like.
