Symphonic metal, two of my favorite bands:
Epica
Nightwish
Not very new, but not many people know of it.

Hip Hop isn’t dead yet.
Let me repeat, this is the first album I’ve downloaded in full when it comes to Hip Hop where I like every single song on here.
K’naan - Troubadour
I’m a fan for now.
X
Thanks, just down loaded it, AWESOME!
LOL.
I’m just glad someone else likes it. I like this guy. I played his songs only today while working out. A couple of those songs almost have a Marley feel to them.
I’m always looking for new music. This music fits the style I like. this goes hard.
K’naan - What’s hardcore?
"if I rhyme about home and got descriptive, I’d make Fifty Cent look like Limp Biskit,

I don’t think you will find true “hardcore” people or rappers in America anymore. For true real talk about hardships and even political influences, it seems Africa is the home of “hardcore” now.
Skindred’s newer…album. Roots Rock Riot
Hatebreed has been on rotation, all tracks ever
As of for hiphop?
Wu-tang clan aint NOTHING to fuck with… otherwise i really can not listen to hip-hop to workout anymore. Old busta yea…new busta… a JOKE. Yea, old M.O.P. is sick… Check it…
I’ve had it for weeks now but Tim Hecker’s new one An Imaginary Country is breathtakingly beautiful.

Shit alot of other countries are more hardcore than the US. Most people couldn’t walk a week in some of these peoples shoes. I mean Africa is plain ol’ fucked up. Mexico is up there to I mean cartels fighting left and right shootouts in broad daylight in the middle of malls, hundreds dying every month. Yet the things been happening in Africa makes that look like nothing.
Been listening to K’naan - Troubadoor for a couple of days now and it’s the best damn album i’ve heard in a loooooong time.
Songs are quality. And they are just that too. Songs. Intro’s,verses, choruses, middle 8’s. You gotta admit it, kid can spit it like a fitted knitted cap ![]()
Qua-la-Tee!
So refreshing.
Anyone heard of Charles Hamilton?
this is by no means new…
Turbonegro - Are Ready You Ready For Some Darkness?
City of Satan
Back To Dungaree High
you may also recognize them from the Wildboyz theme song

That’s a song he did with Damian Marley. Pretty good.
On an unrelated note, here’s some new (to me) rap that gets me pumped up to lift.
Immortal technique - crossing the boundary
Immortal technique and Jedi Mind Tricks - on the eve of war
Immortal technique - Angel of death
Immortal technique - the point of no return
Immortal technique - fuck tha government

The Roots - I can’t help it
They have to be one of the few groups out putting out music that sounds different than what we hear all of the time.
I second that one. The Roots are one of my favorite groups of all time. Their sound is so unique without venturing into the uncharted realm of “experimental”.
I’m always behind the times when it comes to new music, but here are a few albums that are fairly recent that I highly recommend.
Only Bult 4 Cuban Linx II-Raekwon
Fishscale-Ghostface Killa
With Teeth-NIN
Year Zero-NIN
The Slip-NIN
(I recommend all NIN albums for lifting, specifically Broken, The Downward Spiral and With Teeth)
anything by Tool
Wu Massacre-Wu-Tang
anything by RATM-obviously not a recent band, but still great shit to lift to.
Conversation With a Devil-Andre Nickatina
I Hate You With a Passion-Andre Nickatina
Stumbled on these guys via the prowler vid from EFS… Not normally my type of music, but man, its stupid catchy.
Check out “Racecar Driver” and “Road to Ruin” (I like the intro to this one a lot).
Can’t go wrong with Public Enemy… always gets me in the mood for a big lift
I can’t find that Cee-lo anywhere.

Here [from 2DopeBoyz]:
I guess it wasn’t officially released yet. First I heard of the song was a few days ago myself.
