Paul Verhoeven said that the Judge Dredd comics were a major influence on Robocop, from the helmet design to the satirical tone. I’m sort of disappointed that Robocop has stolen Dredd’s cinematic thunder, even though I’m a fan of the original (it’s tonally the most accurate Dredd adaptation that never was - kind of like that dime store knock-off transformer that was better than the official toys).
To paraphrase Rodney Dangerfield, Dredd don’t get no respect. They need to bring on Judge Death. He makes Thanos look like a part-timer.

Early word is that it’ll follow the plot of the original. The main addition, and it’s a topical one, is that OCP (or Omnicorp as they are now called in the future-future) deals in overseas military-grade weaponry, which explains the viral faux advert.
Spielberg is making a movie called Robopocalypse with Chris Hemsworth as the lead.
Too much of this high-budget sci-fi bull. That movie with the kid from 3rd Rock from the Sun, Total Recall re-make, Dredd, Robocop re-make, Robopocalypse, and god knows how many more I’m missing.
What happened to the good ol’ fashioned buddy cop comedy? And I’m not talking about Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell - 90% of anything with Will Ferrell sucks (Anchorman being the exception).

I love Superman, and am very “open-minded” about superhero films, but this teaser for Man of Steel is weak.
I mean go ahead and tease, but showing laundry (three times I think!) butterflies, farms and fishing boats is sort of stupid.

That’s got to be a well-done fan edit, rather than an “official” version of the trailer. The classic music was cool, but it struck me as borderline-hammy. Also, and I’m just realizing this, how did Superman shave? Didn’t Superman 4 teach us that his hair can withstand 1,000 pounds of force?
