Is that the American remake of “The Raid: Redemption” that they’ve been talking about?

Kill yourself. That’s a remake of the American classic Judge Dredd.

I thought of The Raid when I saw the trailer. If it’s a larger scale sci-fi version of The Raid then I’m fine with that.

It’s pretty faithful to the comics: Mega City One is a collection of massive, overcrowded apartment complexes locked in a perpetual state of war with each other.

Haha I know, calm yourself. I was joking because of the similarities in the trailer

Dredd was written by Alex Garland, who penned 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Sunshine, and Never Let Me Go

Taken 2

I’d really like to be able to like this movie, but I don’t think it will be very good.
Hopefully I’m wrong.

I’m not typically a fan of the uber-realistic approach to reboots, but it looks like it’ll work here and they seem to be staying closer to the comics with the psi-judges and block wars. I like Karl Urban but I’d have preferred a Dredd movie with Ron Perlman in the lead and Judge Death and his Dark Judges as the main villains.

Still, Alex Garland knows his way around dystopian futures.

Edit. Saw that Roybot posted the Taken 2 trailer just a short time ago, so I’ve removed my post. I hope this movie exceeds the awesomeness of the first one.

Liam Neeson is a really unexpected “Hollywood action hero”.

The minds of Eli Roth and RZA have collided…uh…oh…lol.

Looking forward to it

Looks good Jereth, too bad Labuff is in it.

My thoughts exactly. Still Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy might negate the shittiness that LeBouf(SP?) will bring

Isn’t that the movie where Labuff boasted about beating up Tom Hardy?

Yeah. Even if it’s just a re-tread of the first movie, half the fun of it was in Mills using his “particular set of skills” to track and kill the baddies.

Leboof couldn’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag.

Official teaser for the Robocop remake (supposed to be out next year):

It’s going to have Samuel L. Jackson and Gary Oldman in it, at least.

And I caught this trailer when I saw Spider-Man over the weekend. Not sure how much I like an almost-kinda-sorta in shape Kevin James, but it’s got Bas and and Miss Salma, so it’ll be rentable at least.

In all honestly, though, I get that it’s a comedy but a little part of me is bummed that it might help fuel, or at least won’t help enlighten, anyone who still thinks “any untrained shmoe can do this brutality.” Like how Warrior dropped the ball as a useful introduction to MMA-haters.

Kevin James is awful no matter what kind of shape he’s in.

I think James Bond (Craig) could kick Jason Bourne’s ass.

He could also kick Jack Bauer’s ass.

Hey…waitaminute…why do so many badass government agents have the initials J.B???[/quote]

Ha!

Can’t believe I never thought that way.

I think Jason B beats James B.

Jack B and Jason B both shit on James B. Expect some broken arm and wrist, and torture here and there. But we already know that James B enjoy having his balls smacked with some sort of home made torture weapon… so Jack B loses there.

Jack and Jason still shit on James though.

Jason B beats Jack B.

And do you know who beats them all?

Bryan Mills.

Bourne would dominate Bond in hand-to-hand combat, and also resourcefulness. The Daniel Craig Bond seems to be a different sort of animal altogether, though. Since these newer Bond films take place at the outset of 007’s career I can only assume that the Connery/Lazenby/Moore/Dalton Bond had grown complacent later in his career. Although the skiing/parachuting stunt at the beginning of The Spy Who Loved Me is still one of the most bad-ass stunts in any film.

Jack Bauer is a fag compared to either one of them, though.

And you know who beats them all?

Batman.
