New/LF Advice

Hey guys,

So I am fairly new to the body building community and am interested in getting back into excellent shape. I come from a hockey background having played for 11 years.

The last 4 years or so have been fairly inactive for various reasons the biggest being laziness. I have done a lot of reading on this sight and am hoping to grow and learn with the community and hopefully be able to contribute one day.

I am currently 215 lbs at 5’10 and 23 yes old.

My goal would be to naturally build muscle to the best my body can produce and find a balance between size, strength and mobility.

I guess my question is for people who understand where I am at, what do you suggest? Feel free to ask questions, hopefully we can hash this out

Eat a clean diet and lift weights.

What is your current diet and training like?

Thanks ripsaw, currently the only physical activity I do is at my job, and well I’m on the road I do kettlebell swings.

I have not changed up my diet.

I’m wondering if I should be looking to lift heavy for half a year then worry about cutting weight?

Your diet is the most important thing and you need to get that in check if you want to make any progress. I also suggest heavy lifting. Kettlebells are a good conditioning tool and that’s about it.

I doubt I am telling you something you do not already know but you have some serious work ahead of you. As previously said, you have to get you diet in order, hit the weights and get some cardio in at least 3x a week.

The bad news; you have a long way to go.
The good news; you have a long way to go. At your age, you should be able to add muscle and drop the fat quickly. The gains should come at a rapid pace.

Hit hard and repost her in 6 month.

Thanks guys, I think I will start a log in the log section to track progress.
