I do wonder if what we’re seeing in the cases of fish oil benefiting acne and brain function is less about being Omega-3 deficient and MORE having an abundance of Omega-6s in the diet.

With Omega-6s being inflammatory, I can certainly see acne the body’s response to the inflammation, and I imagine that same inflammation could have a negative impact on brain function as well.
To which, the solution of Fish Oil remains the same, but speaks to the causal mechanism. Along with getting in some Omega-3s, work to find ways to eliminate Omega-6s from the diet.
