New Here, Questions About my Diet

Ok so I’ve been a pretty big health and exercise junkie for a while, I’m in my first year of university and I first got into lifting and all that stuff probably the summer of grade 9.I went really strong for about a year, gained about 40lbs, got pretty beefy, cut off 10lbs and then BAM, started getting heavy into drugs. Not like crazy drugs or anything, more or less just smoking reefer day in an day out.

In my grade 12 year I stepped my game up for a short time ( 4 months or so ) and got up to 150 again, but I was dating this girl that was my main motivation, needless to say when she left so did my seriousness in training. I then stopped for a few months, and then for about 6 months, trained really crappily, didn’t make much progress, and stopped once again shortly after.

Now the past month I have been getting back into, in university trying to get my act together to get the grades I gotta get to one day become a physiotherapist hopefully. So this got me back into training, and I must say, I have not felt this kind of passion since about two years ago when I was dating said girl, except now my motivation is all internal, and thus my own to do with as I please.

I’ve got an extremely good and dedicated training partner and really feel I can reach success in obtaining a good physique if I so choose.

So I’ve been doing CKD as it seems to be the diet these days that a lot of people are raving about.Everything is feeling pretty good, I did however have one question about carbs and the maximum I can have each day, I usually ate a low fat diet before so its odd not having any…although after doing this CKD I think my body is very strong at metabolizing fats,

I have felt very few bad side effects, and my lifts have not seemed to have any sort of adverse effects from lack of carbs…I just find it sort of difficult to not have any carbs in the sense of, I have to turn a bunch of my meals into almost snack like things, they’re not even meals, its just like a fatty food and a protein food or a bunch of one food that contains both fat and protein.

Now im 5’6" at about 146 right now, consuming roughly 2200-2600 calories a day. My typical diet day looks like this.

Workout ( ill sip a shake throughout and a bit after my workout on a shake consisting of about 500ml of water and 2 scoops of low carb protein)

30 minutes after workout ill eat 4 eggs with 1/4 cup or so of shredded marble cheese

After that I’ll usually try to get 30g of fat/30 g of protein from deli meats and cheese.

After that I’ll have a 1/2 cup of almonds or nuts and half a scoop of protein.

For supper I’ll usually try to eat some salmon with a good serving GREEN veggies.

Following that I will usually have either nuts, deli meats, or cheese to get my macros for that meal

Same thing again for 6th meal.

Like I said most of my meals are more like big snacks or something lol. My goal for each meal is about 30g of both protein and fat and whatever for carbs, I usually only get carbs through nuts and green veggies, so they’re isn’t much, anod about half of it is fiber.

So what do you guys think of this, does it look okay, there is a lot of unhealthy fat in there I realize, so maybe I should do something to change that, and if so, what should I be doing differently. Also to finish up wtf is the difference between CKD and this “anabolic diet”. Seems kinda like the same shit but different pile to me, but I could very well be wrong.

Also, look for my pic in the picture section, comments would be appreciated

bump!

fucking jesus man…i have no idea why you are taking the no carb approach with your weight and undeveloped physique. Just eat decent food and lift to grow. You really have no place being on a keto diet if you ask me.

Agree with Hardgainer…

Keto is for fat guys like me who need to lose some weight. Buy a Gallon of milk every day and drink it throughout the day. Every. Day.

Lift hard, and lift heavy. Combined with the gallon of milk, you’ll be hyooge in no time, plus Mark Rippetoe might not kill you if he meets you.

If your pics are up to date, I don’t understand why you’re dieting either.

I recommend getting on a sane eating plan and training your ass off.

If done right, you may very well lose fat and gain muscle since you’re new at this.
