My only debate is whether or not to buy it on 360 or PS3. I’m not sure yet.

I was a little disappointed by Mass Effect. That was just my experience. I need to play the Too Human demo. The preview looks cool.

Waiting for:

Fallout 3
Gears 2 - Think I might take a vacation day for this one.

Speaking of Star Wars, I’ve been thinking about picking up Knights Of The Old Republic for the 360 (it’s backwards compatible).

I can’t recommend KOTOR highly enough. That was probably my favorite game for the original XBOX.

I couldnt agree with Vader more!! Maybe the highest replay value of any RPG ever!! And on that front I cant wait for the KOTOR MMO but that will be at the least a year or 2( closer to 2)

I think the Ghost Busters game will be cool as they will be voiced by the origonal cast

I’m not a guy that typically plays RPGs, but I think I’ll give these 2 a shot since I’m a Star Wars nut. Gamestop is running a Buy 2, Get 1 free on used Xbox (original, not 360) so hopefully I can find them both and another game that’s BC.

Mass Effect also sounds interesting.

I don’t mean to scare anyone off from Madden, just warning you that the game has flaws and might be a rental first before buying. Yes, EA is releasing a patch, but they will not be adding CPU sliders at any point. So, Robo QB looks to be in effect this year.

The shitty thing is that’s how EA always is. Fucking EA… they suck so badly. The NFL had better sign a contract with someone else when the time rolls around. Now that EA has no competition, they keep mass-distributing the same shitty, buggy game over and over. Hell, even in NCAA, there ARE sliders and unless you play on less than All-American, you’re likely to get torn a new one every game by the QB.

Yeah, NCAA has tons of problems, too. Defense is broken and the QBs (human and CPU) complete too many passes. Apparently they are patching the game to fix the zones, which don’t work right now. The sliders are broken right now in NCAA, but hopefully will be getting fixed.

I still play All Pro Football 2k8. Yeah it has some flaws, but the gameplay is the best I’ve seen in a football game.

Jeez, good. I hate the fact that the only defense you can play is essentially man-coverage only. I don’t even use Cover 2 anymore, because the CPU QBs can apparently exploit any zone coverage you throw at them.
I’m waiting for that 2nd patch to come out before I buy NCAA. I read a lot of impressions and saw that everyone was finding a lot of problems with the D. I rented it and was so frustrated with what you mentioned above that I’m glad I’m waiting.

Madden 09 - Amazing game have not stopped playing it all week on my xbox.

I’d love to hear how you got a copy, seeing as how the game won’t be released until Aug. 12. Only people that I know that have it right now are a select bunch of media members and celebrity-type gamers.

And no, the demo doesn’t count.

I’m not going to say how i have it, but i do. Its a lot better than 08. A decent amount of bugs but I am sure it will be fixed with the first patch online.

And no, its not the demo. full version.
I respect that. Glad you are enjoying the game.

So - just got Soul Calibur IV today for the 360. I’d had experience with SC in the past, but not since the second installment.

To be totally honest, I really suck at the 8-way run system. It’s getting frustrating trying to learn the mechanics…

Sounds like I better rent it first then.

Yeah. I’m actually thinking about trading in it and getting a used copy of Lego Star Wars or something.

I just suck too much at fighting games.

Warhammer Online, I’m really looking forward to seeing how this one does.

Killzone 2, Mercenaries 2 and definately Infamous. Saints Row 2 also looks like what i hoped grand theft auto 4 would be.

I think the game is so easy to play. My only problem is the constant thumb cramps I’ve been getting.

Yeah, it’s not Soul Calibur itself. It’s the fighting game I’ve always been best at (except Street Fighter Alpha 3.) Other than the SC series, I generally don’t play fighting games.

And there is no bigger Star Wars fan here(including Vader…he just has more shit:/ ) but dont you dare trade SC4 for SW lego! You just paid what? $60 + tax and you could get SWL for $19-$29. I mean do what you want and I aint say’en… Im just say’en

See that’s what I’m talking about. Every time I pick up a magazine, I see adds for games like Fallout 3, MK vs Marvel and Ultimate Alliance 2. There always seems to be something cool coming out, but who knows when?
Just go to a game site like Gamespot.com, and they have previews of all the games w/relesae dates. Also, the Gamestop retail site has release dates…

Actually, SW Lego (The Complete Series, anyway) is still 49.99 in most places. Plus, I work at Best Buy so I get a decent discount off games at their base price. Nothing special, and I’m still giving Soul Calibur until Monday to wow me, but I don’t see it happening.

Oh I definitely do that. I was more referring to the fact that many times the only release information they’ll have for a particular game will only say something like “Q4 2008” or “Spring 2009”, but then the game usually gets pushed back a few times and you never seem to really know when it’s going to come out up until like a week or two before it actually does.

I’m still playing Sim City 4000 and Civilizaton 4.

Go me!

Also Street Fighter IV. I didnt play much of III didnt much care for the Characters I just used Ken and Ryu but it didnt do much for me.

My best Street Fighter memory was a friends little brother talking shit and saying that he would own mein SF 3D 2. I had never played that one b4 and ended up I beat him with Akuma in about 10 sec

CHRIST!! STREET FIGHTER IV LOOKS AEWSOME!!

I really really really really hope Akuma is in it!
