Eminem was the first artist i ever liked (i was 6 at the time) so I might be partial but i think he is the best hip-hop artist ever,he has thought and feelings in his songs unlike 50 cent or some others who try to psychologically stroke their egos with their songs…

Listen to more hip-hop and rap, not just what you hear over the radio…
Gotta do that but I usually listen to what I have on the computer(to lazy to download new songs lol)
deffinitly gotta do that

Pandora radio is an awesome way to find new music.

''eminem was targeted by the illuminati and government thats why hes not been rapping he was beccming a threat to the government!
‘’
Another gem of a You-Tube comment…

Anyways, I think he’a great, but not really a fan of his new stuff.
I love The Way I Am, Mosh, When I’m Gone(very emotional) and his more sombre songs…
New stuff sucks ass though

my god, the shit people say about eminem, everyone has something messed up to say about how he not talented or not gangsta, your creating a rapper stereotype, making people like eminem who is a very talented individual, who was raised in the streets, and rose above his oppression, into a white boy, and that is why he’s not hip-hop, unlike 2-pac,who’s music sucked, who was straight middle class, private school drop-out, went to the ghetto when he was 16(wasn’t born there, family didn’t go bakrupt and they were forced there), and lowered himself into that life style, and ultimately sold albums as a quasi-gangsta poser, but he’s hip-hop.

but his newest song does suck…

arguments stimulate the thought process

And quite a thought process it is.

I haven’t heard thae Everlast/Em battle since 2001 [when Napster was free]. I think Everlast killed him. His was more raw like battle rapping should be, Eminem’s was well thought out and too “studio” to be real battling.

always has…

a thread where eminem is considered a wack rapper and tupac’s music sucks?

what’s next, ‘lil jon is the greatest lyricist of our time’?

According to Bill Oriley, Eminem is my new hero. I wonder if he thinks he will do anything except raise Eminem?s sale for his new album.

Dude, “Quitter” raped Everlast. Absolutely destroyed him.

I usually buy my favourite artist’s cds just to support them, but honestly, I wouldn’t Em’s new shit. Eminem went from being the greatest, to coming back and sucking, he tries to sound jamaican or something, slurring his words and attempting to sound like the song “ass like that”, sorry Em, one time was okay, but a whole album of that voice, no thanks, retire…again.

And that’s why Em gets the benefit of the doubt. To me, his older studio albums were solid (Till I Collapse is a permanent staple for the gym), and Encore/Relapse are bland, repetitive, and far too poppy. Doesn’t mean he’s less talented because of it, nearly all top mainstream rappers have subpar efforts (Nastradamus?).

And whoever bagged on Tupac for repackaging himself as a thug marketed towards suburbia needs to shut the fuck up, Biggie could be criticized for starting the glamour/crystal/bling trend in hip-hop (that he criticized early on), same way the Wu could be labeled sellouts for saturating the market with Wu-brand merchandise/products. No one is perfect, and discounting pac completely (btw I’m not sure how “normal middle class” you can be when you’re born in West Harlem and everyone around you is a Black Panther convict) is as ridiculous as deifying him.

In other news, Slaughterhouse has got me excited for Rock the Bells. Between this: - YouTube and MOP and Busta sharing the stage… this shit is gonna be crazy.

i like eminem, and he’s got talent, but i wouldn’t call him hip hop.

Then define Hip Hop.

Eminem has talent and no, not all of his songs were “shock rap” even though that is what he known most for.

There are few guys out who can string words like that…even though I do like k’naan recently in that regard.
Seriously man, I don’t know what these guys are snorting. Eminem IS hip-hop, without a doubt. I’m not his biggest fan post Marshal Mathers LP, but you can’t deny his skill. As for the single, well, he always has one shitty single every album, it seems. Album might be great for all we know.

/thread

His latest single (3am) is even worse than the first one. Not a good sign.

By the way Asher Roth is the wost thing I’ve ever heard, I wish Em would make a diss track.

I was listening to the Eminem Show one day back in summer '03… then something clicked on my head, turned the CD off and I have not listened to any of his stuff since.

I’m listening to his new album right now, so far I like it.

Eminem was never hip hop

he has always sucked

he got popular off shock value and thats it

he is only cool to jr high school kids

he hs no moe effect on the crowd that made him popular

i admit loving the dude back in the day, because anytim anyone said fag or retard i would laugh my ass off-but not now, his music is really immature, i see why people were hating him whe he came out- he truly is talentless

i think if i made a cd of me just shouting curse words i could sell a slew of records just to 12 to 17 year olds and be just as famous as he is( k, well maybe not that famous, but ya get what i’m sayin)

but not now, his music is really immature, i see why people were hating him whe he came out- he truly is talentless

listen to The Eminem Show. Its a big change in his style - more dark, somber, mature. I don’t understand how someone could say that Eminem is talentless given his vocals, delivery, breath control, lyrics, humor, beats, subject matter, emotion and style. Listen to that album and maybe The Marshall Mathers LP and tell me that he’s talentless…

I have them all, and i listen to a few songs of each cd, but as a whole he’s never a cd that you just sit and listen to without skipping a track ( he is outshined by d12 on the eminem show) i felt the switch he tried to make, but by that time he was already labeled as a joke that makes " fag jokes" and celebrity gossip

i give props to him for the rhyming, cuz the dude is sick with it- with delivery he maight be unmatched

i just think his time is over, he defintely fell off after 8 mile
i know i maybe late but better late than never eminem is not the worst on every collab that is the dumbest most unsupported statement i have ever heard did you pull that straight out of your ass? eminem kills on every song he does with another artist say my name, renegade, pop a bottle just to name a few and d12 SUCKS they are NOT better than eminem i agree with you eminems new flow does suck with the accent but if you sit and listen to his lyrics they are good he is a good rapper he is not here off of shock value but off of pure talent and because he just doesnt give a fuck
