The only disappointment in the movie (for me), is that they managed to find a more unattractive woman than katie holmes to play rachel. I didn’t think it was possible, but there you go.[/quote]
Will anybody else be dressing up in their personal batman costume? Being half naked and in a red cape was a blast at the 300 opening night, so I don’t want to miss any fun.

Dude, the closest Imax theater is at least an hour drive. Hell, maybe even 2 hours. And in a big city. I hate big city. Is Batman even worth this hassle?

2 hours? No, it’s not worth that. I have one 10 minutes away, so I see pretty much anything that’s released in IMAX format in there.
If you can find an excuse to be in that big city while ‘Dark Knight’ is still being shown, I’d highly recommend it, though. It’s a very different experience.

Yes, yes it is but for you, not on opening night. I saw the first one there…the experience is very differentand well worth the hassle(mind you, I don’t say that often). If all batmans are at the imax, that’s where I will see them and nowhere else.

I won’t be dressing up, but I will be wearing these:

Does it come out Friday or earlier.
If Friday, I plan on seeing it the first morning showing.

I’m sure it depends on the theaters in your area. The theater closest to me is having midnight showings on Thursday night/Friday morning, but I’ve heard of a few that are having midnight showings as early as Wednesday.

The theaters around me are doing an “All Knight Long” feature, where they have the first showing at 12:01am Thursday night, and then have a showing every hour through the entire night.
I’m genuinely curious if it will actually be a full theater at the 3, 4, and 5am showings.
I actually thought about buying advance tickets for the 12:01am showing, but I want to see it in the IMAX, and it’s not showing there until Friday night.

My theater is actually doing IMAX screenings at 12:01 and 3:15 Thursday night, but they both sold out almost a week ago. All of the Friday night screenings on IMAX are sold out as well. I’d see it on Saturday, but I promised my friend I’d wait until Sunday, so I’ll have to avoid this and any other Batman related thread until Sunday night.
