Whenever he does this I just kind of shake my head and blaspheme

Good grief, dude. I didn’t write this.

Where has Blahous written Medicare for All will not increase spending? Literally nothing at Mercatus with his name on it says what you claim.

I think we’ve established the answer is a big ol no.

It’s an additional 3.2 TRILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR.

Per
Fucking
Year

It’s over 10% of GDP in ADDITIONAL COSTS. Per YEAR.

ā€œA doubling of all currently projected federal individual and corporate income tax collections would be insufficient to finance the added federal costs of the plan.ā€ - Blahous

Get a clue.

How dare you expect poor Zep to understand or even read his own sources.

Only on the surface to people who don’t know what socialism really means. This is what makes not making a clear distinction dangerous. Social Democracy rejects the ā€œDictatorship of the Proletariatā€, recognises individualism and embraces a Capitalist economy.

The differences between their ā€œsimilar traitsā€ lead to one country ending up like Sweden and another ending up like Venezuela.

To further illustrate this point:

The Sandinistas were Marxist-Leninists, which formed the base, and was the main influence for Mao Zedong’s policies. Someone like you will simply gloss over this part since they all have ā€œsimilar traitsā€.

Lol. whatever.

Not other than the word ā€œsocialā€.

Related to healthcare, this was debunked earlier in one of your threads, but you were too stupid to read it.

Also no. There’s too much wrong with your post to bother correcting, but no. If drug companies are ā€œout of healthcareā€ then all the modern medicines we use to recover from surgeries, fight infections post operation, and all the rest are gone too.

Not only is that obviously terrible, it’s much worse than the problem it would replace.

Here @Zeppelin795 I did your homework for you:

I can’t wait to hear your take on businesses getting to save money on healthcare costs as the burden shifts to the federal government and thus individual tax payers (the main source of tax revenue).

And, so we’re clear on the analysis:

So Blahous’ analysis shows a reduction in total spending of $10 billion if and only if ā€œhospitals, physicians, and others will be reimbursed for all patients at Medicare payment rates,
which are projected to be roughly 40 percent lower than those paid by private insurers during
the first 10 years of M4A’s proposed implementation.ā€ and ā€œsignificant administrative and drug cost savingsā€ occur under the plan.

In other words, ignoring the economic impact of eliminating a trillion dollar industry, the net effect is a total savings of $10 billion (according to a libertarian…) IF AND ONLY IF the government’s cost savings estimates are accurate AND healthcare professionals take at least a 40% pay cut.

Wouldn’t hold my breath on either of those two things happening.

*Fixed numbers

Such savings much wow:

The same government that’s 163 Billion over budget on one weapons system (The F-35) is going to achieve all of these savings.

Anyone that thinks the government will meet it’s cost savings target is a complete moron.

I would laugh if it weren’t so sad.

Fear not, ye plebeian, the government will save you money if healthcare is taken from evil capitalists and turned over to the savior of the commoner, the Federal government.

Prime example

Yeah…not happening.

Also $10 billion is not enough to run the Federal government for 1 day.

Given last year’s budget of $4.15 Trillion, it breaks down to ~$11.3 Billion spent every single day.

Sounds worth it… /Sarcasm

It is NOT debunking, just taking into account of all the factors whether they bolster my argument or not.

I ask questions to be clear of the opponents position.

I didn’t see it include implementation costs either. Iirc, California was going to spend like $200B to implement their single-payer. One state = $200,000,000,000. We’re probably looking a trillion dollars just to implement the program.
