New Bloodwork on 40mg, E3D (80mg Total/Week)

What is his rationale?

Yall are bumping a 2.5 year old thread

Firstly, what is your source of T? Is it prescribed? I’m guessing not given that most docs would simply not allow such off-script experimentation. Assuming not, how confident are you in the quality/potency of the T?

Secondly, your SHBG is on the low side but not out of range. Guys with low SHBG burn through T much faster because SHBG binds and protects T from liver metabolism. This is good and bad, depending on which end of the spectrum you are at (I am at the opposite end). From empirical data from posts of guys with low SHBG, they tend to do better with more frequent injections (for example daily or E2D). Another thought is to evaluate your thyroid function for Free T3/T4 and TSH. Even if you are in the normal range, I read a study (can’t put my finger on it at the moment) that when guys with normal thyroid function supplement with thyroid hormone, their SHBG tends to increase. This may be of benefit to you by bumping up your SHBG closer to mid-range. Might be worth at least experimenting with.

This is a very old thread. But yes, it’s prescribed. I had stock piled test to try larger doses at the time.

Thanks for responding though.
