Yes. But how much damage will depend on many factors which you will not know about yourself yet. This is why just doing a few sets across is good idea, until you learn more about yourself.

Again this will depend. Specifically on your work density, how much intensiveness you are capable of generating, and how much of your body you desire to train in said session.

As a general rule of thumb for beginners…
Do a full body workout, performing 3-5 sets of 3-5 compound movements, 3 times a week. Each workout should last 45-60 minutes. Become a Jedi master of perfect form, then add a little weight each week to your exercises. Over time, you will learn your preferences, your neurotype, your gifts, your weaknesses. When you hit 300/400/500 in the bench/squat/dead, then you can start experimenting with advance techniques various programming variables.
