Bench wasn’t much good today; everything felt too heavy and too hard. I don’t know if I’m coming down with something seeing as it’s mid-winter or if it’s just a post-meet drop in performance. I don’t feel like I’ve had a week off to rest.
On a positive note, squats only hurt my pride today and not my hips. Even if the weight is lighter than I’d like at least there’s progress. I’ll see if the eccentric hamstring work helps things too.

Another relatively pain-free day. I guess if I can increase my working weight for sets of 5 (by 10kg or so per week for the first few weeks and less as I get back to where I was) and throw in some higher and lower rep sets to test the waters I should be able to keep squatting but let my arse heal.

Deadlifts weren’t strong but at least they received the attention. Safety bar squats felt surprisingly good but I fatigued quickly.
