Neighbors Want to Kill Me

Start wearing a helmet you snitch bitch.

Snitch.

Be a man next time and go face them in person instead of calling the cops.

I have had all manner of problems over the years with noisy neighbors from living in ghetto areas of town. Always what solved my situation was being relentless about letting 'em know IN PERSON that I’d had enough of their bs past 23h…

The cops will solve jack shit for you, only makes you look like a coward hiding behind mommy’s skirt.

It’s pretty substantial actually. One does not choose what color his/her skin is. Taking it in the ass and being proud of it is a choice.

Also, what kind of T-man calls the cops because he smells marijuana? You should be ashamed of yourself.

yep. right here is where this thread officially goes to hell.

It did that back when Mr. high powered corporate attorney in Washington, DC joined the thread.

Guys, get off the original posters back already. For Christ sake, it’s not like he provoked the situation. And I’m sorry, I’m not going to use this pretty little PC word “ghetto” as a synonym for what we ALL mean here-- poor black folks who think they can roll whitie, or the oreo cookie.

I have no sympathy for black OR white thugs, but lets call them what they are. I don’t use the N word but its definitely something you all are thinking about when you write the word “ghetto”; don’t even lie to me that you aren’t thinking it. The OP sounds like he lives in a state of lawlessness, and I’m sorry, this isn’t the African brush.

I would call the cops every day. In fact, where I live, I do. I live in an upscale washington DC neighborhood and for some reason there is a halfway house next door. My balcony faces a low roof on their building that these reforming criminals, who all happen to be black, crawl out onto and roll a joint right in front of me as Im reading the paper and trying to enjoy my coffee. I call 311 every single time; and they know I do. One time as I was walking inside I heard them yell “Its a cigarette!!” And i chimed back “Im not an idiot, I KNOW what pot smells like!” Then they ran like rats back into their apartment.

Trust me, there are many quiet residents that appreciate that the OP has taken the first step in taking back his building from the African Zulu tribal type element that has taken over. I AM AS SICK OF IT AS THE OP!!! With gas prices as high as they are, people with money and jobs deserve to move back into the city and roll these useless people out. Gentrification has hit DC and all the zulu thugs in DC are pissed off because they are being rolled out to PG County Maryland, where the largest affluent black people live. And not surprisingly, Maryland is PISSED because they are now committing crimes and killing people there. And, its the blacks with money they are attacking now. It’s sad really because the rich blacks are being brought back down by these thugs.[/quote]

I’m just now reading this, but I sure hope you have life insurance. You seem to really trust that the cops will keep you safe at all times.

Wow, Lixy you sure are uneducated if you truly believe sexual orientation is a choice. Do you even know any gay people? I do, and I know from what they have said, in addition to reading about it, that it is NOT a choice. I do realize this wrong belief in “choice” is why many in the black community resent the fact that gays are calling it a civil rights issue. Many blacks believe this is a way for white people to call themselves a repressed minority. So sad. Instead of joining forces with the gays, people like Obama’s minister reject it.

Also, I believe Professor X is a racist himself – against his own people. I support African Americans – and I support their effort to lift themselves out of poverty. And it angers me so much that the lowest common denominator in their community – like the OPs neighbors are allowed to define what “being black” is all about. Aparently, you can’t snitch on criminals. You can’t fire poorly performing employees. Rich blacks have to put up with criminal blacks moving into their neighborhood and tearing down the lifestyle they have worked so hard to achieve. Jesus Professor X, are you supporting Obama or Kwami “clownface” Kilpatrick here?

I know its cliche for people who say they aren’t racist to say “I have black friends!” but I do – and they are educated, high income earners, and model citizens, and they too share my frustration that the lowest common denominator is held up as the standard for the African American community. Professor, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Seriously.

Shut the fuck up, you skinny prick. You’re so blind to your own stupidity because you went to a law school and are educated and blahdee fucking blah. You’re righteousness is based in how high and mighty you think you are because you have an education and it makes you better than everyone else.

When you call someone “50 cent thug,” you’re racist. It’s not rocket science, and it’s definitely less than the law degree you earned. You calling the Prof racist would make me laugh if I didn’t think you were the biggest douche in this Nation and I didn’t have the utmost respect for the Prof.

Prof, you don’t need to validate yourself here.

Rob. Fuck you.

Need closure!!!

What the fuck is going on in this thread?
Since when was life so serious?

I’m so moral and so not-rascist, oh but wait… tra-la-la-la-laah I’m so jovial, and dare I say it, GAY, that I can joke about looking for a partner. HAH HAH HAH!

Weirdness.

I know this is hard to believe, but not everyone responds well to being confronted respectfully. Does someone need to be told to turn down their music at 2am? They KNOW they’re pissing someone off and they don’t care.

If these guys are trouble and he goes over there and tells someone to turn down their music it will be taken as a challenge and he stands the chance of getting his face kicked in. You might feel like a man for confronting them, but the guys jumping you and the guy who hit you in the back of the head with a bat will honestly think they’re the tough guys.

As someone who has been jumped for standing up to guys I can tell you that you won’t earn respect.

Very true. Unless you’re on friendly terms with your neighbors I would never advocate a confrontation or complaint in person especially if alcohol is involved. I have worked numerous assault cases and a homicide for just this reason. The proper course of action is to call the police. Unfortunately sometimes there are consequences.

I don’t understand this “snitch” business at all. I owe my neighbors no warning if they are disturbing the peace. Since I know my neighbors and live in a decent neighborhood, I would feel comfortable knocking on the door and asking them to turn it down. But that is a courtesy, not an obligation.

It is one thing if you are going out of your way to spy on your neighbors and reporting them to the police. When they start messing with you, however, calling the police is perfectly appropriate.

Wow, if this isn’t the biggest case of “internet balls” I don’t know WHAT is. The whole first paragraph is so incomprehensible, it doesn’t even deserve a response.

As for the second paragraph, what happens if a black person calls someone a “50 cent thug”? Then it’s just a description of how a person looks? What if a black person calls a white person an “Eminem thug”? Is THAT racist??

The only way you can seriously call somoene a racist is if they subscribe to racist beliefs, such as the KKK, or if they straight up say “I don’t like black people across the board.” Otherwise, you are just talking a lot of sh#t and playing the race card. I refuse to play the game that some opinion leaders are leading where you become a racist if you fall into their new definition of what a racist is. It’s really sad, and it’s going to make white people more and more resentful, and it will get us NOWHERE in race relations.

you’re welcome? I guess…

I’m still not sure I understand your allegations that X is a racist anyway. Unless I missed a post, all I saw him do was point out, albeit rather subtly, that if you continue to call the cops on the RECENTLY RELEASED FELONS living in the halfway house NEXT DOOR to you for SMOKING A FUCKING JOINT, you’re going to probably end up dead. Or at least in some compromising situation. Or perhaps your wife or child will. And there’s a good chance the police aren’t going to be there to help you, only to investigate later and maybe put a criminal back in jail for a couple months or years. I hope that peace of mind is worth it.

Honestly, I agree with the sentiment that if there’s criminal activity going on near my house, AND (and this is the important part) I deem it to be a threat, or possibly pose a future threat to my family, myself, or my property, then yes, I’m going to call the police. Note that smoking a joint on the roof or playing music too loud at night doesn’t meet these qualifications for me. But if that joint turns into crack and guns, and that music turns into a loud ass party on a tuesday night… that’s a different story.

Regarding the OP, it’s a tough call. Yeah, the good and decent thing to do would be to knock on the door and ask them to keep it down before calling the cops. But if you’ve tried that before and it didn’t work, or you have a reasonable expectation of retaliation, then why would you knock on the door knowing you were going to have to call the cops anyway. All you’d be doing is letting them know exactly who rang the police. Neighbors who are disrespectful enough to not quiet down when asked in person, are usually disrespectful enough to take retaliatory action when the police are called (hence keying the OP’s car).

Only thing I can recommend now is to file written complaints with the leasing office (get them to sign acknowledgment and keep copies) and the police for anything and everything that happens. That way you have evidence of the ongoing situation if you decide to try and dissolve the lease. Chances are, if you’re enough of a pain in the ass about it, management would rather just let you go rather than deal with court proceedings.

You are such an idiot. I wasn’t showing internet balls in any way. I didn’t say I’d kick your ass or skullfuck you. I just told you you’re a prick.

A black person calling a white person an Eminem thug has nothing to do with what this entire debate is about - you, a white person, called a black person “50 cent thug.” Because the image that 50 cent portrays has become synonymous with being black in the American psyche, it’s racist. Calling a white person “Eminem thug” isn’t racist because Eminem in the American psyche hasn’t become synonymous with a white person. It’s how our culture is; you calling a black person “50 cent thug” validates this.

You said the Prof is racist. Where did he say he subscribed to racist beliefs? Or did he PM you saying “I don’t like black people across the board”?

You do nothing but contradict yourself, Mr. Educated Lawyer Man.

Who helped you make up all this crap? ‘50 cent’ isn’t synonymous with black in MY mind. Nor does the image portray any of the black friends I have, and I resent you for even saying that! It proves YOU are a racist, if we are going by racist rules though.

I think I have spelled out my views of race quite clearly in varying posts. You, the Lixen, and Professor continue to try to “Ferraro” me, and outright lie about what I have said in public and private – and you know darn well what you are doing.

I think any reasonable human being would come to the conclusion I am not racist and that your little description above defies logic, makes no sense and is flatly wrong – not to be redundant or anything but sometimes you have to be redundant when dealing with someone who appears to be mentally retarded.

If you want to continue your little logical pretzel game, fine. I find it quite entertaining, but you continue to show what an idiot you are.
