Negative attention because of your physique

I haven’t heard that one in a long time.

Guy was an abusive asshole

I’ve gotten some, but not nearly enough lately.

A lot of people used to assume I was a skinhead (old school bad ones) cuz shaved head + muscle must mean you’re a skinhead. I chalk that up to wishful thinking for the most part.

I got the steroid thing a good bit but never really minded that.

Eh. Over all nothing overtly negative. I guess guys driving by and yelling stuff like “Fag!” isn’t great, but once again, wishful thinking.

Usually I’d never respond like that and just laughs stuff like that off. It is putting oneself in harm’s way. It was just “one of those days”. It is sort of flattering though; like of all people on the street some guy noticed me. Lol.

See, that to me is the funny part- that someone takes the moment required to do that.

I’m like "oh, what a sweetheart! ".

No, but I get negative attention because of my skin color.

It was Jersey.

Lol, I bought his book when I decided to do taekwondo with my daughter, and my hip mobility has never been better.

He’s the real deal! My one brother was into Isshin-ryu karate, but would pull from anything usefull for competition & whatnot.

The whatnot occured on leave after bootcamp in Tijuana. Little dude with a knife thought he was going to mug the stupid sailors.

He got roundhoused into the next ice age for that!

No, mostly positive comments, I normally only get negativity from a fair distance away, lol…which can be tricky to deal with, but mostly a non-issue for me on a day to day level.

Honestly? No. I have strangers walk up to me and ask me how to get big. Coworkers that come up to me and ask me how to lose their beer gut. Friends that have lost a lot of weight because of 20 minute conversation we had 6 months ago.

But negative attention because of it? I can’t say that I have. I also look like an asshole, so maybe that plays a role.

Not really any negatives that I can recall but was more into powerlifting (never national level or anything like that) and was more “bulky” than ripped

I do recall trying to cross the street and somebody in one of those tiny “smart cars” tried to beat the light and I had to dodge it.

The driver sped off and I took a second to get my bearings.

An older homeless man saw this and said in a dead serious tone “calm down! that car is too small to hurt you”

I remember another time at the store I overhead a small child say “mommy that man doesn’t have a neck”

I get a ton of DM’s, in person questions, etc… People rarely follow through. 'm about to start sending my Venmo before answering anything.

Come from New Zealand myself and people are pretty reserved with their compliments or criticisms of this type. Only experience was a good one when a shop assistant told me I had an excellent chest and great peak on my biceps (not verbatim), I had never received any compliment like that and like it so much I nearly turned from a straight guy into a raging gay. The guy was didn’t know it but he was one more compliment away from getting the shit kissed out of him by an attention starved 21 year old.
