Need to be Pointed in the Right Direction

The subway double meat varies depending on the Sub of the day lol but its usually turkey breast or ham.
And the lambsteaks, yes they are the frozen type each steak containing 15g of fat with 5g of saturated fat…

As all my family are vegetarians, its hard for me to get fresh meat from the butchers because they don’t like going in there themselves so its hard for me, they only bring packaged meat from supermarkets, the frozen type… And I will incorporate more healthy oils now, starting with flaxseed.

You have some years to put in the gym, to get a good rating on this site. You are young and just need to grow into your frame.

Not true.

read the starting strength thread in the beginners forum

I hope someone point you in the direction of a fucking hairdresser.

Jokes:P

Apples with apples, please.
Exceptions exist. Just because the indians sent an olympic lifting team that qualified for the olympics does not make them good at the sport - if you compare the average US gym rat with an indian olympic hopeful.

The average south asian is still poorly built for heavy lifting and/or bodybuilding, and yes, there are guys who have the genetics to bodybuild even there. Just because Bolo Yeung was wide as a hut and Stan McQuay built an admirable physique doesn’t mean the average oriental dude can make great strides in width and thickness (The oriental bbers find it easier to get shredded with a higehr carb diet, and come contest time they get in ridiculous condition - but lack size and thickness).

And Dalipe singh (sp?) has acromegaly, so maybe you want to compare him wit Giant Silva, Paul Wight and Kurggan (the dude from 300) instead, guys well bigger than him who didn;t even bodybuild competitively.

If you make a comparison between “average” weight training south asians and “average” weight training blacks/whites/latinos from everyday gyms, you’ll see a WIDE gap.
if you compare the elite bbers from south asia with the NPC competitors, you’ll again see a wide gap. They had premchon deggra (sp?) who compensated for ridiculously poor proportions by getting shredded beyond belief (for that age) and managed to pull off a couple of victories.
Compare apples with apples. Or just visit one of the many gyms around ehre and scout for the south asian dudes.

That said, this guy (OP) has a normal frame and can certainly improve his physique. You honeslty can’t do much to improve your build with narrow clavicles/ribcage, wide hips, poor insertions and muscle bellies. There are many guys who put on mass and get lean but look just about the same even with 30 pounds of mass.

 Well I kinda knew you would make that point about Dalip Singh being an exception, although he doesn’t have acromegaly like a lot of people seem to mistakenly think.

The reason South Asians aren’t winning Mr. Olympia and other titles is because of the horrid corruption and extreme poverty in India. Also guy’s in our culture don’t seem to want to look after themselves as much. Plus the food for the average joe is poor at best. The majority of folks eat one meal a day!

Me and both my brothers are over six foot tall and weigh over 210. My eldest brother is well over 240(not an once of fat on him).

I would like to add that India is a rather large country and people vary vastly from place to place. For example in the north west state of Punjab a lot of fella’s are 6 foot and over with nice proportions (that state win’s over and over again in the contests).

However that is again a poor generalisation. A good friend in Chennai is 6 foot, weighs 235 and is shredded.

So there

So your brother is 240 close to 10% body fat at just over 6 feet tall???
Soooo he would roughly be equivalent to PX here in a dieted down state then.

whatever, I could care less. Stay strong.

Read the article on the interview with the starting strength guy. Total body training 3 days a week eat a ton, focus on your heavy compounds, do 5x5 or 3-4x10-12 and alternate every 2-3 months, drink whole milk, lift hard and heavy with good form, and you’ll be fine.

Good Luck!
