Need some Tech Help

I don’t want to clutter the board with three threads, but I have three questions.

  1. Is there anything free that will convert divx to wmv?

  2. What is the best mp3 player that can hold at least 500 cds?

  3. What is the best GPS system to buy–TomTom, Garmin, or other?

Thanks for any help.

  1. Yes. run a google search or go to www.filehippo.com or be ultra illegal and get something off a torrent site.

  2. 500cds is about 40GB. iPods are popular but i hate apple and the way you have to sync everything. get something that is plug and play. look into a brand called sansa. Tere good but im not sure about the 40GB

  3. Dont drive, no idea

  1. I have a Tom-Tom, as long as you put in the right direction, it doesnt fail.

I’ve got a nav man they are great and my sister uses a tom tom and neither of us have any problems with them and we update them yearly.

Go to a torrent site and download a program called total video converter that will do everything and anything and give you a happy ending.

With the mp3 player with 500 cds I dunno why you would that much music but personally I would just get anything that has around 4-8 gig go 8 gig so you can impress your friends with your girth its all about girth. All the brands are pretty much decent I am anti ipod but thats just me I prefer the creative zen style but there are heaps out there it just depends how trendy you are. Buy a decent set of headphones to go with the new mp3 player most standard head phones are pretty shit.

Not in order I know

Never had Tom-tom, but have a Garmin. I researched before buying and the reviews stated that because Garmin is US made (Tom-Tom is not) the cartography is more acurate. I read this (not from actual experience)

You don’t HAVE to sync everything, unless they’ve changed it from being a toggle option. I have an old school 4 gb ipod and really have no complaints.
