Need Some Advice and Help

Ok, So I’ve been reading this website and other websites, and I am confused…I need some advice…Here we go…

I am 6’3’’ 270lbs, and I am 21 years old…My goals are to trim down a lot and build some muscle, mainly tone and get cut…I dont want to be HUGE like HULK or anything but I do want to get some nice muscle action, you know…

Now I started going to the gym like 3 weeks ago and I lost 4lbs that I am proud of loosing…But I dont know what to do about my eatting habits…I eat 6 times a day, breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner…I’ll have a protien shake after my work out… I have to eat less calories to lose fat, but I want to gain muscle also…

I go to the gym 3days in a row and one day off and 3days again and one day off and etc...I work out:

day 1: chest and triceps
day 2: back and biceps
day 3: legs, shoulders, and abs
day 4: rest
etc…
Can someone give me some advice, em I doing the right thing, should I do something different…I can use all the help I can get, I know this is a little scatered, and if you want me to clear things up let me know

My goal is to have a 36" waits (i am 42 now) and maybe less later down the road, and to have a lean fit body…with a low BMI% hopefully 10%

Read the stuff here:

Search for articles by John Berardi and Lonnie Lowrey and Chad Waterbury etc. etc. etc. Read. Then do it.

Go to the Articles library, under authors, and read everything on nutrition by John Berardi. Ask away if you need anything clarified. Read the Seven Habits of Effective Eating first, then the LEan Eating Articles. Good start there.
Push hard.

Hey man welcome to the boards, you’ve taken the first step to realizing your goals. The link to Vrooms beginners thread pretty much has most of the info your gonna need for now.I can’t stress enough how important I think it is for beginners to start with a program designed by the pros.Make no mistake,if your new to this your gonna make good gains but I think they will be considerably better if you have a sure thing program from one of the pros.

Lets go ahead and toss the “HUGE like Hulk” thing out the window.Unless your some kind of total genetic freak thats not gonna happen. Also I wouldn’t use the term “tone” on these boards. In my opinion T-Men and vixens train to build muscle and get stronger…fat house wives with 5 pound pink dumbells train to “tone up”.Happy reading and keep us posted on the progress.
