I’m 184 lbs, 6’1", ~178-18% BF, and I’m trying to gain a respectable amount of weight before leaning out. Now I’ve calculated through the massive eating and similar calculators that I need about 4300 cals to gain 1-2 lb a week. This was taking account for lifting 3x a week, I’m currently doing Rippetoes starting strength, having trouble getting in even that amount of clean food I’m now back into Muay Thai training which is 3x a week(I haven’t calculated the calorie intake I need for maintenance including this training yet). So I need some suggestions on how to get in some extra clean calories as well as getting the most out of the time I have to recover.
2-3 shot glasses full of olive oil a day with meals does it for me. That’s about an extra 800-900 easy cals a day. Go to BJ’s/Sams Club/Costco and get a huge can of the stuff, it will last a while.

I tried doing that but got pretty bad nausea. Coconut milk works well for me, but bare in mind that it’s a different type of fat that you’d be getting.

I’ve tried shots of EVOO and it didn’t sit too well with me, I’ll give it another try though. I haven’t tried coconut milk but I’ll take a look into that. I decided not to go with the GOMAD approach because I don’t feel too great after having alot of it.
Main fats I use personally to add extra cals to my diet = coconut milk, mixed nuts (no peanuts), and olive oil. EVOO makes some people nauseous to shoot, including myself. The key then is to use extra light, or regular olive oil, which is what I do with no nausea.
