Need Help with Training - Losing Interest!

Just my .02… when I first started lifting, ALL I worried about was protein, protein, protein. I didn’t know how food worked, and for awhile I was eating a ton of protein, but few carbs or fats. I made little progress at this time, and it wasn’t until ‘evened’ out my macros that I started making progress…

how does anyone “train hard” for a “year and a half”, “progressed” and not know how important food, diet, macros and overall caloric intake are?
