Chest and back without the chest. Bad right shoulder and sore left shoulder, so I just did back today.
Tomorrow is legs. I think I will add some leg presses after the endurance press. Start pushing some heavy shit, see where that leads to.
I have three weeks off over the holidays. Be a good time to start the cardio up. Get the heart & lungs working. Think I’ll start with sprint work and save the endurance shit for late winter. I think I’m one of the few people that go to the gym for their holidays. My home away from home. One day smarter, stronger & better looking than yesterday!
The machine squats fried my legs today. I started exploding on the up. Just putting everything into it, now that felt awesome. Took alot out of me, but thats what counts. The rest of the workout followed suit, everything was an effort. All in all I’m really happy with the end results.
Sun came out and dried the trail for me. Now that was down right decent. Got a 25km skate in before I started to lose the daylight.
Felt really strong on the strides. I’m getting good speed with less aerobic output. If the dry weather continues into tomorrow I’ll be thrilled. The end of the month is coming fast and I’m way behind in km’s.
I’m exhausted. After doing the navy ship over the last two days was a drain on the energy supply. Probably shouldn’t have skated, but when I saw that sun come out this morning. Skating was the only thing on my mind. So I need a protein drink and some food, cause I want to be big and strong like Streamline. Oh that’s me, sorry about that little slip of the key board.
Great day for a skate, so I did. The weather was 9C or 50F, either way it wasn’t warm. The skins work good and do what they’re supposed to. The constant contact with the cold air never allows you to warm up totally.
Did a solid 35km today. Worked the hills really hard and pushed harder on the flats. Very little traffic on the trail which is great.
Fighting off the cooler weather can really eat up the energy supply. I’m going to have start chowing down the carbs in a big way. So I get to eat more, damn I hate this.
Kickoffs: 150, 165, 180 @ 8 ea. leg, 200 @ 6 ea leg
Romanian Dead Lifts: 185, 225, 275 @ 8 reps 295, 295 @ 3 reps, 315, 315 @ 1 rep
Made a funny move and got a tweek in the back/upper glute area so I called it a day. It’s nothing bad just one of those throw off your performance things.
You’ve done it. I’m going to bicycle ten + miles Thursday morning. Not 35 km (more like 16 km), but then it will be on a mountain bike, and will make the day better.

Thanks for the inspiration.

That’s sweet. There any trails around your territory. They really make mountain biking fun.
My two cents, always wear a helmet, use your gears, have as much fun as you possible can.
Did arms and a little shoulders today. The shoulder is coming along real good. Still plan on taking it slow and easy.
Loaded a 10 X 14 wool area rug into my van this morning and paid for it all day. Everything was fine until I got it in the van and off my shoulder. That little tweek in the back isn’t little anymore.
Just the pressure on the back, or on a sore muscle. Tomorrow is a leg workout. I don’t think I’ll be doing squats, try the leg press with some light weight. Any discomfort and I’ll do back and chest instead.
I feel very mortal right now. Not a very appealing sensation I must say. The sacrifices I must make to complete this journey of mine. Time to heal and then go forward, think with my head not my heart.

Too bad there aren’t any real mountains in Texas for Elaikases ride… (duck and run).
Zero on the gym today. The back is tight, so I’m laying low a couple days. I’ll do my at home shoulder exercises and know doubt other things. I want this healed before my holidays in three weeks.
I want to double my workouts over the holidays by starting my cardio training. We’ll be going day to day for the next little bit. I hate these set backs.

– at least none within a day’s drive of here
I got my law degree at BYU, we had some nice mountains there, my in-laws live just down the hill from a ski resort, makes for great Christmas visits (only wish we were going this year) and I was homesick for mountains a very long time.
I’m kind of over that now. A little.
Probably the real reason we keep visiting the kid who is out at school. She thinks we just like to see her, but you know it is to visit the mountains.
Streamline – take care of yourself, you are still not that far past a pretty bad accident. Recover, regain, renew and restore. Hope your holidays go well.

Yeah Streamline go a little easy-if your past 50 it’s OK,every day is a good one.
Bryce Canyon and green mountain passes are my memories of Utah, a fascinating state.

Thanks guys, good advice is hard to come by, so I should listen when I hear it. We’re on light duties for the next little (I hope) while.
How is it that such a small movement can cause such a set back.

Will be headed back towards the states soon.
My brother and daughter don’t lift. On my previous visit I purchased free weights, and stored some in both of their closets. Will return to Wal Mart and buy more on my return(hope to avoid a stampede-that damn herd mentality) it’s cheaper to build a gym, at relatives house, than finding a fitness center in Paragould Arkansas.
During my last stay I did complex and floor exercise for 2 months, along with running. My body felt rested on return.
Kept it simple today. The back felt great so all is well in OZ.
Felt a pull in my back at the end of the work day. Seems to have subsided for now. I think some stretchs between jobs is called for, so be it.
Decided to start up the cardio sessions tomorrow. That should pump up the grocery bill some what. Looking forward to some serious sweating and I can sweat rivers.
Needless to say, I’m not at all impressed with my skate time last month. With luck I’ll catch up a bit on my holidays. It’s a fresh month, skies the limit! Staying strong for all the right reasons!
