Yes, you read correctly. Anyways, I’m currently doing a correspondence course in Canadian Law through my school. I’m not interested in Canadian law if you’re curious, I just needed a credit. Anyways, for one of my assignments I need to find 3 articles about the sentencing of a person for a criminal offence. This friggin assignments been collecting dust for the past like 3 months because I can’t find a single article regarding a criminal offence in Canada. I’ve checked news websites but I can’t find a damn thing.
So if you guys could do me a huge favor, I’d appreciate it if you could try some online news source or something of the sort where you could find an article about a criminal offence.
If you find something, please PM it to me so as not to take up space here. Thanks.
Read the FAQ and the back issues… Oh wait sorry about that! Seriously though if I find something good I’ll try to PM it, but I’m not sure I know where to look any more than you.
We burned the White House down a few years back. However, in Canada’s eyes it wasn’t a crime, but according to American law, what was done was both illegal and very very rude.
There was a German scholar who got deported for attempting to publish a book that denied the holocaust, which was a breach of constitutional law. Basically everybody here, because of our constitution, has the right to be themselves & denying the holocaust supports/promotes the hateful/intolerant/discriminatory view that Jews, etc are somehow worse than everyone else. I can’t remember the guy’s name but he only attempted to publish his book & first he was arrested, then tried, then sent to jail, then finally deported.
mq, Ernst Zundel is the guys name. Calling him a scholar is a little bit of a stretch. That’s like calling your typical Quebecer a loyal Canadian. Don’t get me started. Sorry, Chris.
it’s the story of the “Somalia Incident” where a Somali POW was tortured and killed by members of the Airborne Regiment. Not the most proud time in our recent history but interesting reading nonetheless.
Hahahahaha. Funny thing is, my cousin went to live up in BC for a while and while he was there, he got a job giving people dogsled tours. Only in Canada.
Guys, what was the name of the serial killer who was finally caught (in BC I believe) and then eventually deported to the US? Was it Charles Ng or something like that?
Ng was caught here in Calgary. he was sleeping in the park and some kids tripped over his tent. He got mad and yelled at them. They told their parents. We’re such a nice place that even serial killers like to visit us.
Rie Fujii abandoned her 18 month old boy locked in her vacant apartment and went partying. He died after 4 days. The body of her 3 month old that she killed was never found. Would you still hit it? All I’d like is 15 minutes and a baseball bat. She got 8 years for the double murder. 8 fucking years!
They were having trouble extraditing Ng because he was facing the death penalty down south. Send him down and let him fry. How many tax dollars did we waste trying to protect this filth.
Damn, now I’m depressed. Someone send happy thoughts my way.
