I’ve posted on here before about my low t and posted a thread on here with my levels. I recently got so frustrated with British doctors that I decided to self admin TRT. I’ve only done one injection of cypionate so far which was 50mg. I also did a 500IU HCG injection. I feel like I’ve made a mistake, I feel like TRT at 24 is too young and I really don’t want to inject for the rest of my life but I was desperate because I couldn’t lift weights without being exhausted for the rest of the day. Also no random erections, no morning wood and weak erections for the last 5 years kind of pushed me to it.
I want to understand why I have low T but it’s a challenge when doctors here think 9nmol is a good level for a 24 year old. Since taking the injection, I feel more emotional, can’t sleep, my balls and penis have shrunk already. I don’t know if it’s estrogen or what but how long until my natural system kicks in again?
What a mess. It’s upsetting that you cannot find doctors to help you. However, I agree, you need to determine what is causing your symptoms and that means a thorough evaluation of your pituitary, thyroid and testicles. That would include pituitary hormones and possibly an MRI. Thyroid, not just TSH, include fT4, fT3 and rT3, to start. Total test, free test and estradiol need to be checked, I’d get DHEA and IGF-1 while you’re at it, SHBG too. If you’ve had all that, recently, maybe you could post it or post whatever you have had.
Hard to understand why your genitalia atrophied after one injection, especially since you used hCG. Are you sure?
Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.

I can be a bit abrupt in my replies and recommendations. I have a lot of ground to cover as this forum has become much more active in the last two years. I can’t follow threads that go deep over time. You need to respond to all of my points and requests as soon as possible before you fall off of my radar. The worse problems are guys who ignore issues re thyroid, body temperatures, history of iodized salt. Please do not piss people off saying that lab results are normal, we need lab number and ranges.
The value that you get out of this process and forum depends on your effort and performance. The bulk of your learning is reading/studying the suggested stickies.
