Ndamukong Suh for Heisman

Ndamukong Suh deserves the Heisman Trophy! He is the most outstanding football player in the college game. Truly dominant. He is always double-teamed, sometimes triple-teamed and still puts up great stats and makes big plays. In a year where no QB or RB has had a dominant or record breaking season…we have the opportunity to have a LINEMAN finally win this award. He is most worthy and capable of bringing a new dimension to the Heisman.
Thoughts…?

I agree, the big 12 championship game convinced me that he is more than deserving.

X 2. I am a huge UT fan, but that “MAN” deserves respect. He also just made himself a huge paycheck by what he did to UT. Love to see it go to the big uglies for once.

Agreed. I would have said no way until I watched that game. Every play I could hear the cha-ching of his contract growing.

I was at the game, rooting for UT. He probably won’t get it, but he was seemingly involved in almost every damn play. You can honestly say that he single-handedly almost won the game for Nebraska.

You can think of it this way: there isn’t another player whose loss on their team would have as dramatic an impact as Suh. In that regard, he deserves it. My money is that Gerhardt will get it.

Always seems to go to winning teams. Ingram will get the push with his game. Also the “rumor” is they want a non-QB this year.

Unfortunately, Ingram will probably win it.

If I could vote I would go…

  1. Suh
  2. Gerhardt
  3. McCoy

Man if this campaign would have started a month and a half ago I think he’d have a shot. There’s no denying he’s a force in the game.

Ingram played SO tough on Saturday though. And his performance not only helped win the SEC, it catapulted Bama to the National Championship.

You can’t deny that.

Living in the west offered me the opportunity to watch Gerhardt a lot this year. Dude is a beast and more than deserving as well. If the Stanford/ND game were being played this weekend and he put up the same #'s I think he’d have a better chance. Dude is a straight up football player, same goes for the Stanford fullback Marecic.

Colt McCoy wins on name alone. Ndam Suh whatever sounds like a terrorist.

Suh should win the Heisman (which somewhat pains me to say as a Michigan fan since i take a lot of pride in saying charles woodson is the only defensive player to win the heisman). he is the most dominant defensive college football player i have ever seen. and his name means “house of spears”, its a shame he will be gone by the time the lions draft.

YEP!, he’s a force of nature. if not him I want Gearhart to get it.

Woodson was two way sort of. His big returns helped cement the award IMO.

My vote would go to gerhart. He has been dominant and so consistent this year (I think his lowest rushing output was 84 yards). The thing that works against him is that he is not a flashy player. But overall, gerhart’s numbers are just amazing.

he caught a handful of td’s on offense as well, his performance against osu shutting down david boston, returning a punt for a td, and catching a td got him the award in the same way suhs 12 tackles (7 for loss) and 4.5 sacks should win him the heisman.

Ingram will win it. I was at the game, the man is an animal. Florida could do NOTHING to stop him.

Gerhart has more yards and touchdowns than Ingram.

And not to stir shit up, but the Tebow supporters are “conspicirous” in their absence.

There were some of you touting him as the best ever. Change of heart?

They were embarrased by him weeping like a 4-year-old girl who got her My Little Pony taken away.

Agreed a whole lot!

Toby Gerhart

Attempts: 311
Yards: 1736 (leads nation)
Touchdowns: 26 (leads nation)
Avg. Yards Per Game: 185.5

Suh is a pretty amazing force, but Toby Gerhart has dominated, and put up his best performances against ranked teams. He should win the award, hands down.
