And you feel it’s been a huge help?
For me it was more to a point where caffeine just got me back to baseline or a little above if I had a lot of it, then the rest of the time I was worse off. So, after stopping I’m basically at same baseline all the time now but without all the ups and downs and dependence.
Personally I still think a cup of plain coffee a day probably can have more pluses than minuses for some people, but not when it turns into like 7 more or lots of crazy energy drinks, etc
I’m not great at moderation so none works better for me
My cream came in today so I’m going to try a click or two tomorrow AM and see what happens.
I’m not sure why but the last week or so I’ve been feeling really good. It’s almost like I got a reset or something when I had to skip doses and take less etc when I was running out then jumped back up to my normal 210mg/week. Hard to explain but I’m daily banging with the best sensitivity I’ve had in a long time, feel less bloated, look better, acne is better, feeling good. I’m halfway wondering if this T is stronger or weaker than it should be and might get some basic bloodwork just to see if there are any major differences. Maybe daily dosing HCG at 200IU’s instead of doing 500IU’s 3x a week is helping somehow.
Oh well. That’s about it, pretty boring update.
And they said PFS was forever ![]()
I’m sure some people would say I didn’t have the real bad form of pfs. Maybe they’re right, I dunno. It’s also been 2.5 years since I stopped dut so maybe my body worked something out. I hope pfs gets figured out one of these days though, at least enough so that docs will believe it’s real and that will create more research into it IMO.
I’m just glad things are working normal at the moment
I applied cream this morning and I’m having the worst anxiety attack I’ve had since the initial one tonight… maybe it’s a coincidence, but I’m really not sure more T is the right thing for me to do right now, so probably not going to try any more of that right now. I’m shaking terribly, barely able to type. I went to sleep around 10:30, woke up at 11’ish and didn’t feel great but went back to sleep then woke back up maybe 20 mins ago feeling like a crazy person. I’m completely f’ing miserable right now. I’m going to try to take a shower and or bath and see if that helps… my sleep hasn’t been perfect lately but I haven’t had any issues waking up once I’ve fallen asleep until tonight.
This sucks so f’ing bad. I wouldn’t wish this on literally anyone.
How’s your estrogen man?
I found that I definitely need an AI if over 140mg/week.
Right now I’m on a blast and need to take 1-2mg arimidex every day. Yeah, it’s a lot.
I followed the no AI advice on here, which is good advice if you keep your testosterone well within range, but over range some guys just need it.
It’s never been an issue before but who knows, e2 started at 70’ish and has dropped down to 50’ish now. Twice over the last year or however long it’s been I’ve tried 0.25mg of arimidex just to see what would happen and both times I felt really bad, super super depressed feeling for a couple of days starting about a day after I took it, so I never messed with it beyond that. Maybe it was a coincidence but I felt so shitty I wasn’t about to find out.
It’s so frustrating. Earlier in the week was the best I’ve felt then this happens again
Finally got to sleep at 4 or 5 and slept to noon. Usually once I’m asleep I’m fine
Man, I feel for you. I know exactly what it’s like.
About 2 years ago I was suffering really bad from anxiety. Only slept for about 1-2 hours a night. I was pissed off and irritable 24 hours a day. Extremely suicidal etc. just about got fired from my job (I had to quit before I got fired).
I saw a therapist for about a year. That helped a bit. Also tried 4 or 5 different anti depressants (that didn’t help).
Got prescribed ambien, that didn’t help much. I fell asleep pretty quick with it, but I would wake up an hour later and have weird hallucinations. Then got prescribed Trazodone. That helped a ton. That shit keeps me asleep most of the night now. And if it doesn’t, I pop an ambien on top of it and I’m really out cold.
Also got a sleep study and found out I had mild to moderate sleep apnea. CPAP helps me get more restful sleep.
Anyways, all that stuff combined really helped a lot.
Knowing all the stuff I know now and If I were you, I would try to get my testosterone to about 700-900ng/dL. That’s probably only 120-140mg / week. Cut my carbs down to just roots and vegetables (sugar gives me mood and energy swings + insomnia). Cut out all screens 2 hours before bed. Go for a 1 hour walk every day. Do some light reading in bed before falling asleep. Audio books are good too.
Give that a try for a couple weeks and see how it goes.
Thanks, will consider. Got prescribed a beta blocker today to see if it’ll stop the pounding heart thing that starts the whole process. We’ll see
Is your blood pressure chronically high? When I started cycling I decided to buy a blood pressure monitor to make sure it stayed in a reasonable range. Cost $70 and it’s pretty legit.
Nope, always super normal blood pressure. Pretty much always 116/78 or thereabouts. I got 130/90 once but I was at a doc visit for a std screening and thought I was getting a scraper up the pee hole. Fortunately that wasn’t necessary ![]()
The issue in my case is as soon as I get the first like pounding heart feeling it makes me super worried about it turning into a panic attack, which makes the whole cycle just start getting worse and worse. Pounding heart, more worrying about it, more pounding heart. Beta blocker should stop the whole adrenaline/pounding heart thing which I’m hoping breaks thay cycle from happening.
I took the first one about an hour ago and feel pretty damn good right now, most comfortable I’ve been in bed in a long time. Also got some CBD gummies but not going to take those unless I can’t get to sleep. Don’t want to add more stuff than necessary, esp all at once
78 diastolic is getting up there.
Oh yeah? I didn’t know that. I thought around 80 was considered good/normal/whatever?
Updated my previous post too with more info
60 is ideal. 80 is stage 1 high
Ah ok. Did not know that. I’ll have to research it a bit more
I get this with my thyroid disease. Lowering my sugar intake helped a lot. Also, when it happens I take 1/2 tsp of potassium salt and drink a liter of water and it usually goes away. Obviously I have a diagnosed thyroid issue, and you don’t, so what works for me might not necessary work for you. But something to add to your toolbox.
I should probably try it. Doc recommended I slowly add some exercise and try to eat less sugar and processed crap. I’ve always been able to get away with eating whatever and not working out and still staying skinny but I guess it could be catching up to me in other ways as I get older
It can have that effect on me as well, and so can simple carbs. I cycled my carbs way up today on a refeed and have felt worse today than I have in a long time. Had an episode in the morning after breakfast of shakiness, sweating, and increased heart rate, and another this evening.
60 is borderline low. 80 is at the top of the acceptable range but fine. For as long as I can remember 120/80 has been considered normal. Even slightly above most docs aren’t too concerned. 130/90 and above is usually when you need to start getting worried.
