Haha I had my woman say “you have the body of a Greek god”. My ex wife said the same thing last time I was this fit. Almost ran. Wtf! Woman and the shit that goes on in their brains lmao
I was talking about this earlier. I didn’t over complicate it. 20% or more body fat down to 7-9% in less than a year. All I did was eat non processed food. I didn’t eat more calories than I need and more often I would barely eat during the day and only eat before and after workout. I would have a if dinner at night . During morning and midday I would eat a small sandwich and that killed my hunger. I guess it was easier for me because suboxone suppresses appetite, but I’m also on thyroid and workout pretty hard. Not sure why I don’t feel that hungry in AM until late evening, but I’ll take it.
I just do a bro split and every session I change it up. I got heavy or I do less rest or different machines and etc.
When I plateau I will possibly look into a plan for training and diet (if I want to get bigger). I don’t think I will.
I like living life as is and feeling good without making my way of life stressful ![]()
Good advice @dextermorgan
Greek god penis with TRT balls is not a pretty sight.
Not just you man. I’m in the same boat. I worked out for years before TRT. Got burnt out not making gains. Got a new job that is a lot more physically active and the last thing I want to do is work out. I know once I start it will become a routine, but getting over the initial hurtle sucks.
I think we call this “the 10 year old”
Everything changed for me when I started training in the mornings before work. Family and work obligations kept interfering with evening workouts, but the mornings are all mine. It was a struggle at first, but now I love my early mornings.
Gah, everyone keeps telling me similar stories so I guess it’s true, I’m going to have to figure something out. I just don’t see a way to do it in the morning. I already get up at 6am to make it to work at 8. If I added in going to a close by gym and back and getting like a 30 minute work out in then I’d be getting up at 5, drive to gym, work out, drive back, shower then my normal routine from there. Ok so there’s a clear path to making it happen, I’m just not sure I can stick with that but I’d probably feel awesome getting a work out in first thing.
How many days a week are you guys working out?
I’m going 4 days before work. Wake at 5, to the gym at 5:45, train until 6:30-6:45, shower at the gym and out the door by 7:00, to work by 8:00. It’s only hard for the first couple weeks while new patterns are developed. It’s all patterns, man.
When I first started, there were days were I would sit in the car in the gym parking lot and not even go in. Then there were days where I would go in, half-ass lift for 10 minutes and leave. Now, just a few months later I’m hopping out of bed excited for the workout and finally seeing legit body comp improvements.
It’s hard to deviate from our unhealthy patterns because they are so ingrained, but I’m learning now that healthy patterns can be just as deeply ingrained.
@ncsugrad2002
I start my workout anywhere between 9pm - 12am. I’m not a morning person though I wish I was. All you need is 30-45 min in the gym 4ish days a week. In the beginning don’t try to go full bodybuilder. Just go to the gym and do something even if it’s 15 min. If you get to the gym and don’t feel up to it you can leave but make yourself at least walk in before making that decision. That’s how I do it. If I want to be lazy that day I can but I have to walk into the gym before I can decide that. You’ll quickly get to the point where you look forward to that 30-60 mins part of your day and you’ll wish you didn’t have to take days off.
I think I can manage that. I’ll probably start at 2 days during the week plus one weekend day. My wife goes at least one day on the weekend so I can go with her for my 3rd day of the week.
I’ve heard this a lot too. I’ve seen a lot of people say doing it first thing makes the rest of the day seem easier in comparison but not sure I can handle 5am. I’m not much of a morning person but have had to force myself to get used to 6am mornings. The things we do for women (and money)
I worked out for a year or so in college but could never make any gains except in my biceps haha. It really left a bad taste in my mouth regarding the gym.
I’m pretty sure it was a combination of shit diet and not having a clue what I was doing. Who knows, maybe low hormones too. I’ve always looked skinny, young and just about hairless. I barely a shaved once a week until I started TRT.
TRT is a game changer. I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing and I’m the biggest guy at my Planet Fitness most days (not much to brag about). I’ve done Athleanx the whole time. I watch the video while I work out. He explains what to do, why and all that shit. You saw the pictures of me pre-TRT. I’m about to change shit up and get more serious but until now it’s done its job to get me here. The main thing is just going to the gym consistently. After 2 weeks it’ll be something you just do. After 4-6 weeks you’ll start seeing improvements and you’ll be hooked. After 3 months someone will randomly give you a compliment and then you’ll be full fledge addicted.
Haha no not even close. Much bigger. I mean the statues…
Kidding
Exactly. Way if life. I don’t even go to look good anymore. I go Because I feel great. I love the feeling of leanness and muscles rippling. Just feels good when I am done with a workout. Refreshed
I go to the gym 4-5 days a week: sometimes 6-7… I just go in and each set is done with a 1 min rest. If it’s heavy weight 3 minutes or 5.
I tear my body down in just 40-50 mins. Sometimes I don’t even rest but 15 seconds and do drop sets.
Especially with legs and arms ![]()
It’s definitely a form of therapy and an antidepressant. I crush all that excess stress that’s built up inside me and after the workout and through the next day I feel really good. It’s as much or more for the mental effects as it is the physical but looking good definitely adds to the mental effects as well. When girls that previously wouldn’t have looked twice at you start staring it’s a great day.
Chicks be breaking their necks looking . It’s hilarious. I don’t ever stare or look at the hotties. I ignore them like they aren’t even noticeable and they can’t help but try and get your attention.
Woman bro. I’m just glad I found a sexy woman with a personality and body I have always wanted.
8am appt with Dr Saya in the morning. I really wish it was a later spot but that’s the soonest they had.
I’m trying to think of questions to ask him while I have him for the hour I’m paying for
Any ideas?
-I’m going to ask for a trial of armour because it’s helped some people immensely and well, why not see if it helps me
-when should I start consistently using HCG? How much? Her IUD is coming out end of June and she’s as impatient as they come so. How long does it take for fertility to return typically?
-what’s the situation with HCG with the whole fda thing? Should I order 3 months worth now while I can while it gets sorted out?
-should I go ahead and do a sperm analysis and see where I’m at? I mean I’m assuming low but volume and all that looks totally normal so I don’t really know. May not be worth even doing the test until I’m on HCG though. I’m not sure. Costs $200 and a dry hand job apparently
-Going to see if he’ll prescribe fsh so I can order that whenever, if I ever do decide I need it (hopefully not, that stuff is expensive)
-Officially hoping to up my dose as my increase has been unofficial so far. I think he’ll work with me on it. He still has me at 140mg a week and I’ve been at 195mg/week. I haven’t asked for more.
-even with the dose bump my free t is lowest it’s tested on TRT. Should I try higher and see how I do or leave it alone?
-exercise recommendations. Frequency, etc.
-HCT has somehow gone down since starting TRT. How is that possible?
-going to ask if my prolactin is a concern since it’s the highest it’s ever tested.
-ask his opinion in general on free e2 since my shbg is still relatively high and e2 has came down some. Any concerns with my e2 or free e2? I’m actually wondering my free e2 is too low, just to be clear.
-should I get the more accurate free t test next time and/or the total T test that goes higher?
-vitamin D is super low. How much do I need to take to get it back up?
Are you still feeling sexually dumb?
I think HCG will solve this issue for sure. The question is what other issues it will raise and can you find dose and frequency to overcome them
I’m doing a lot better than pre TRT but not as good as I have been a few times along the way or before all this started. Basically if I keep it to every other day I’m fine. Try for every day or multiple times a day and there’s not much good feeling most is the time. I’ve never really been able to do back to back rounds or anything but morning then night has never been an issue before all this
I dunno. I guess I’d say I’m like 80-85% better? I’ve been told a few times getting my ass to the gym consistently would help a lot.
Every time I’ve tried HCG I’ve gotten worse but I’ve never taken it long enough to see if I’d get past the short term issues and get long term benefits
