Yeah that’s around what I was thinking. 3x a week worked fine for me before so I could do 60mg 3x a week
T4 takes much longer to leave the system but t3 is within hours of dosing. So the t3 helps fast and then after a few days the t4 has built up and helps as well.
I believe that taking even dosages am and pm is best but build up to it. This ensures you wake up with more in the system and body has consistent level of hormones.
It helped me a ton when I raised my pm dose to 2.
Why did you delete that post @enackers, I read it and it is great info. Thank you.
Mistake I thought I posted on the wrong one and reposted it ![]()
I see. I took 1 grain of NP Thyroid and 1.5 grains of Armour at the same time yesterday. I don’t think I felt any more energy than normal, but it sounds like it doesn’t quite work like that.
I’m going to stick to my prescribed dose for another couple of weeks and get thyroid and testosterone numbers to see where I’m at… And then ask for more.
Thanks again.
Take the same brand. 1.5 grains of armor might be 2 in np. Look for conversion chRts
Right. I was just messing around to see if I’d notice a difference since I have extra Armour. The T4 and T3 are the same between them at 34mcg and 9mcg.
Yes but the potency . Also make sure you crush the pills up and swallow. It absorbs much better!
Well I managed to wait 3 days and things were pretty normal last night. Not 100%, because I would have lasted like 30 seconds if I were my 2017 self, but def better/easier/more sensitive than it has been lately when trying every day
It’s slightly depressing to think that’s a possible answer but I guess I’m going to keep it to every 2-3 days for a while and see how it goes. For now I’m going to tell myself it’s temporary and hope it gets better as I continue on TRT.
Well my self control didn’t last long and I went back to having issues as soon as I tried 3 days in a row. I should know better by now. Thur/Fri no issues. Sat/sun wasn’t happening. I’m taking a few days break and maybe I’ll actually stick to my own advice this time
One question for anyone still reading–free T calculators. Which ones are accurate? I just randomly plugged my numbers into a few of them online and I’m getting Free T anywhere from 19 to 29 depending on what I use for total T. My total T test was maxed at 1500 so I don’t really know if it was barely over or way over. If I use 1500 I get 19 free T, if I use 2000 I get 29 free T.
Most stuff I’ve read says people tend to feel better around 30 free T. My blood tests show free T at 35-40 depending on the test date, which would put my total T at almost 2500 if I just try backing into that number on one of these calculators.
That sounds a little excessive if so. I dunno.
@ncsugrad2002
What were you waiting 3 days to do? I scrolled up about 10 posts and didn’t see it. Trying to understand what’s going on but I’m missing it. I told another guy yesterday to put what’s going on in each update so it’s easier follow as I love reading these but often forget what’s going on from previous posts.
Basically @enackers and I think someone else suggested cutting down on the sex frequency or waiting a few weeks. Said it helped them with sensitivity, etc when they didn’t go at it for a month or so. But I couldn’t handle a month so I’m trying to dial it back to a couple of times a week for now
Yeah I wish there was a way for us to have like a “most recent stats” post with most recent labs, issues, improvements, etc. that somehow made it easy for people to follow these threads that get super long. I’ve had the same issue
I’ve been taking a t3/t4 “research” product the last few days for the hell of it. My digestion is definitely… faster. And I’m hungry as f. I’ve been taking 10mcg T3 + 20mcg T4, 2x a day.
Def. feel different but I’m not sure if it’s good or bad yet.
I’m going to continue on another week or so and see how I feel. Thyroid bounces back fast when you stop thyroid supplementation so I don’t feel like I have anything to lose by trying it.
I’m in the bathroom after every time I eat now… which, probably too much info, but was the same thing that happened those few weeks I felt good, so who knows, maybe it will help.
Pardon my french, but shitting often means you have good metabolism and going by some twisted logic, doesn’t that mean that your thyroid is doing well? Just a thought.
The things to watch out for with hyperthyroid are anxiety, short fuse, and cold/night sweats. If you start seeing those, back off a bit on your dose (which already seems pretty high considering your numbers)
I’ve typically been quite constipated, have been for years except for the few weeks I felt normal since starting TRT and the last few days after starting t3/t4. But yeah, that was my thoughts as well… hopefully it means good things for my metabolism
Not much new. I requested to switch back to injections this morning so I don’t have to worry about getting it on my wife anymore, her T levels tested very high and I’m assuming I am the reason. Hopefully the doc will do it without having another consult.
I don’t feel great, I feel like I’m nothing like a lot of people report when starting T or TRT. I’m starting to get pretty frustrated about it and I’m not sure what else to do other than lower or increase dose and see what happens.
Sex wise I’ve been OK for every other day (and there was a successful 3 days in a row streak there at some point recently) but it’s still not the super awesome “holy f I’m going to last 30 seconds and there’s nothing I can do about it” feeling that I’m looking for, at least sometimes. Maybe waiting skipping more than a day or two will help with that. Not sure. I’ve been consistent with cream for months now so I just don’t see how I’m suddenly going to get any better than I am on this protocol.
I’m nearly always tired, no motivation, just worn out feeling, no assertiveness, etc. All the typical low T symptoms but my T is pretty high according to the lab tests so I don’t know what to do next. The only sign I have that it’s working at all lately is the hairy arms and ass.
I’m starting to worry finasteride really did f up some receptors or something and there’s nothing I can do to fix it. I’m going to try a higher or lower dose sometime soon to see if I get any changes that way.
I guess I should probably bite the bullet and actually do a consult and see if the Doc has any ideas. I’ve been cheap lately and didn’t want to spend another $150+ for a consult but it may be time
On thyroid optimized you feel like the sun has come out and it’s a wonderful day. On a bad day you still feel good. It’s hard to pinpoint the feeling. If one had depression it subsided quite a bit. If one has fatigue it should be fine with the right dose.
If the meds put a dent in the symtoms. You wait a month and up the dose until that fatigue is gone. Same with Depression and etc.
I need to get some real thyroid meds.
Any suggestions on where to get them and how much to start with?
