With cream you don’t have to wait 6 weeks . Half life is so short vs injections.

Just be patient it will work .

@enackers It still took 6-7 weeks when I switched to cream from injections before I felt good.

Personally I believe it’s not really the half life piece of the puzzle that causes the 5-7 week wait. I think there are a lot of downstream hormones that have to get back in balance and that takes time. It’s certainly possible to use test prop or whatever and get levels up and stable quick but it still doesn’t make people feel normal immediately (most of the time). It still takes time, for whatever reason. Or at least that’s my opinion on it.

Sticking with 3 clicks a day for now.

Yes because injections have a long half life. So when you change dose on injections it takes 30-60 days depending on your injectable to stabalize and then another few weeks to let the dose do it’s job.

With cream you change dose and within 48 hours levels have stabilized.

Turn around time is much faster.

With injections and cream it always does take time to feel good after a change and there are many theories as to why.

I hope you are splitting your dose into am and pm. Taking it once daily is causing ups and downs. twice a day keeps levels consistent through the day and when you wake up.

I take 3am and 3pm.

@enackers Yeah I’ve been doing 2 clicks in the morning then 1 click at night to split it up some. It was originally prescribed 3 clicks AM but I didn’t think that made a ton of sense.

You’re doubling my dose… damn haha. Not sure how I’d handle that much T!

You are a man and that much dose is going to feel great. You feel as great at night and am as you do after taking the 2 click dose in am.

Remember that 12 hours after Am dose your levels are dropping and 1 click will keep you at lower levels until you wake. Doesn’t mean you will go from 20 am to 40. Maybe 20 to 25 or 30 but consistently throughout the day.

Now don’t forget that if you feel great don’t screw with it. If you have issues with libido or whatever then sure increase.

No need to increase just for the heck of it. There should always be a reason.

AM dose is around 6am, PM dose around 11pm. Sex is usually more like 10pm, so that’s probably my lowest point I’d guess.

Not sure of any better way to do it short of doing 1 6am, 1 2pm and 1 11pm. Seems like overkill though.

What I’m doing now was working before the whole HCG trial so I’m sticking with that for now. If things don’t get back to awesome in a few more weeks then maybe I’ll add more

Do 6am and 6pm on the dot : take a shower before bed and sex. 3 hours after Applying and you don’t lose anything.

Regardless if you feel good whatever. Doesn’t matter what time as long as its working. With the 6 and 6 you will just feel more consistent and probably sleep better.

Have a good Monday. If that’s even possible:

Honestly I think it’d be easier to just do either an extra click early afternoon or do one less in the morning so it would still work out to 3 a day. A little afternoon ball rubbing never hurt anyone.

Sticking with my same schedule for now though. I’m still interested in thyroid but haven’t done the labs yet. I’m trying not to screw with too many things at once.

I’m exhausted this morning. Sleep is typically very good but wasn’t great last night for whatever reason. Should be fine tonight though

Thyroid is obviously needed when someone has fatigue all day and regardless of sleep. Then some guys have minor thyroid symptoms and T seems over come those.

I’m trying to get my wife in with Keith Nichols, I think her issue is mostly, but not entirely, thyroid related. I’m not as tired all the time as she is but I think there is room for improvement, so it’s something I’ll look at at some point. I’m really hoping BCBS covers some of my lab work so then it makes it easier to get whatever I want if I know they’re going to cover it. They’ve been reviewing my claim for a month now though.

That’s my doctor and he’s the best I’ve found. He’s a good friend now and every man and woman I have ever referred to him has changed their life for the better and cannot stop saying thank you!

Woman are much more effected by thyroid than men. Men are more effected by low t. I bet you are onto something.

@enackers good to know. Everyone basically says what you did so the bar has been set pretty high. I haven’t really found a bad review on the guy. It’s about an 8 hour drive for us for the first visit but not a huge deal to make a weekend out of it.

I am curious what he charges but haven’t gotten that far. The front desk lady mentioned some kind of membership which made my ears perk up a bit. Hopefully that isn’t a crazy upfront fee because we’ll probably be paying it regardless.

It’s textbook thyroid symptoms for her IMO but I have a feeling there is a hormone piece that I don’t know enough about to try to help. Tired, no motivation, depressed, constipation, can’t lose weight no matter what she does/eats/doesn’t eat, some sexual stuff I won’t go into here, hair getting thinner, etc. Its literally the list of thyroid symptoms you get when you google it, ha. Her TSH is under 1 so local docs tell her she’s fine. Of course they won’t test anything else.

My thinking is it could be a pituitary issue not producing enough TSH even if her thyroid is capable of working properly. She’s also steadily gained weight since getting an IUD so I am wondering is that is part of the problem as well.

I guess we’ll see.

I might switch to him as well depending on what he charges. I’m with Defy now. Guys seem to be easier

Can you share any info on his membership fees?

Also, can you share the name of this group? I’ve been trying to find it but haven’t been able to for whatever reason.

@enackers

$2,000 up front fee for my wife to get in the door with Nichols / Tier 1. Not sure that’s going to happen right now unfortunately.

Rip off.

That was for my wife, I realize female hormones are more complicated so I didn’t want to go to a hack but yeah. Wasn’t expecting that.

Yah year 1 that is not the same year 2.

Let’s do some math.

  1. 2k divides by 12 months 175$. I was paying 300$ at low t nation: I know guys pay around 100-200 a month with defy.

  2. Lab tests and doctor consults free for the year. Another 750$ in value if we compare to defy.

Love how you call this a rip off yet you don’t call defy a ripoff. they nickel and dime you for everything. They even charge extra if you want to take your script to another pharmacy. They charge you to meet with the doctor. Labs.

year 2 is 1500 and that’s even cheaper than year 1.

You have a group that Actually researched HRT. Has helped a tremendous amount of patients. Unlike defy I don’t see their patients on every forum and facebag group asking for help. instead his patients are always helping others.

Now they have doctor Scott Howell Who is going to be running studies to verify trt is healthy and give the hrt world ammo and fight against this trend of anti trt rehetoric. These studies are in the worlds and JR will legitimize trt for the masses in years to come. Hopefully a society of group can be created for the doctors so they have a single institution for hormone doctors. Similar to endocrinologists and optometrists. Not this shit they have now where they are persecuted for administering thyroid or T to sick men and women.

I would say it’s cheap and only expensive for those who do not have the income to come up with 2k up front.

You wouldn’t call it a rip off if it was 175 a month with labs and doctor visits included. You would be referring folks becsuse that’s cheaper than most.

On the other hand you have doctors in Florida and Cali that charge 500-750 a month. You have other clinics that bill 200-400 ask you rarely speak to a doctor.

This is the real difference and the truth.

That isn’t true, or at least isn’t what we were told. We were told It would be another $200 each time blood work was needed plus $125 a month for meds.

Honestly I’d consider paying it if he had some kind of if you don’t feel better in 6 months I’ll give you half the money back commitment or something.

Defy does nickel and dime more but it takes a LOT of consultations to get to 2K. I think they charged me $250 for the initial and $165 after that. So you’re at like 10 consultations before you break even with Nichols. The problem is I don’t really know if they even work with women’s hormones and I’m not sure I’d trust them to do it even if they do.

At this point I’m paying about $60 a month for meds and don’t have to do anything else for 6 months

I would gladly pay that, but for a first year realistically it’s more like $2000 up front, say blood tests every 2 months so $1200, then $1500 for meds. So $4700 for the first year. Call it $400 a month.

It’s not a matter of income. We both are into 6 figures and don’t have many bills considering, but it’s still a lot to lay down up front. Especially when I’m trying to convince her this guy can help and she’s somewhat skeptical to begin with but willing to try it then gets told about that upfront fee. It just comes across as sketch to someone not that familiar to the private healthcare industry.

I know his intent is to get people committed long enough so that he has time to fix their issues. Otherwise it’s easy for people to try 1 thing for 3 weeks and just quit when it isn’t 100% working where a few more weeks and 1 adjustment would have had them feeling great. It’s a whole lot more difficult to just up and quit when you’ve just spent a few grand on it up front and all your consults are covered for the next year anyways.
