J, I noticed that as well. At first I thought it was suspect, then I just wanted to believe, but now it’s pretty much a certainty: that rim is 11ft high. Also, a few years ago when he did the 12’6" sticker dunk, that was not 12’6". That would be 6" below the top of the backboard. It’s all still impressive to be sure, but really misleading.
yeah I noticed that the first time too… more on the announcers (doing what they’re supposed to do) than on Dwight. I’m pretty sure he could do it though, the man’s a freak of nature.
it’s 12 feet
y’all are puttin to much thought into this, it was entertaining, that is the point of all the “allstar” competitions during allstar weekend. I loved the phonebooth from howard and the 12 foot dunk, but his last drunk was disappointin, but his best dunk was easily the off the side of the backboard one (did y’all see the wing span, he could have taken off the ground with THAT kind of wing span!)
Nate did a great job with the whole Kryptonite angle (the green ball was pretty damn funny) and him being 90% clear of dunkin over howard is a damn feet in an of itself.

wow, impressive, head well above the rim
totti13, man, I gotta hijack this thread to ask… who the hell is that in your avatar??
(I know she was a powerful image a while back, and I’m pretty sure she was already named in some thread I can no longer find… but she is fucking great)
edit: nevermind, stalked her down with a slightly more thorough Google search.
