NBA Season 2013-2014

I was never a Piston’s fan but I always had enormous respect for this roster. No one wanted to play them in a 7-game series.

Rook 'Bron

Yeah it was alot better in the early 2000’s. Glad the nets, aka new boston beat old boston was cool to watch. I wish OKC still had harden as well. Durant is so sick if he put on 20 pounds he would destroy everyone.

So is Portland the real deal?

Apparently the Raptors are about to trade Kyle Lowry to the Knicks for Felton, Shumpert, MWP and a 1st rounder.

lol why did the Knicks even sign MWP?

That deal is dead for now, Knicks do not want to include a first rounder

Bill Russell was never even close to dominant in the post, but I’ve been saying Howard’s the most overrated dude in the league for years. Houston has had some flashes, but more often than not they devolve into 5 games of 1-on-1 where Harden dribbles the air out of the ball and shoots a step back 25-footer as the shot clock is expiring. While I’m at it, Harden is overrated too. He constantly has to try and dig the Rockets out of holes he single handedly creates. And, LeBron would be an average player if he played in the mid 90’s. He struggles every time there’s a decent center (Roy Hibbert, anyone?) and can’t score against big, physical interior presences. Not to mention hand checking and that flopping wasn’t encouraged. [/quote]

I seriously doubt Lebron would be average in the mid 90’s. He would be able to adjust his game to how it was played back then. And going against Indy, it’s not just Hibbert he has to worry about, but 250 pound David West. It would help if Lebron had help in the interior not named Bosh.

Then how come he hasn’t adjusted against Indy? You just proved my point for me. He struggles against Hibbert and West, and you think he’d do well against Ewing and Oakley, or especially Olajuwon and Thorpe? Good talk.

Well in my defense Miami did win the series against Indy and I believe Lebron averaged about 28 points a game in Miami’s 4 wins.
I believe any one player that Indiana decides to try and slow down will struggle. As I’ve stated, Lebron really has no interior help the size of West or Hibbert. Good talk

Miami won 'cause Stern needs James to be the heir apparent to Jordan, Kobe, etc… Indy was clearly better and WINNING both of those series until the calls started completely favoring James and the Heat. Should’ve been SA and Indy two years in a row, but Stern wanted to manufacture an East/West rivalry, and when Westbrook went down he needed a new storyline. And, SA was far and away the better team. The bad calls, ref favoritism and clearly thrown games (Pop sirting ALL off his starters in a clearly winnable game with 4 minutes left while James, who played like shit all game goes off against the backups and espn shouts from the mountan top what a great game he had) are all part of a bigger plan. He has “chosen one” tatted on his back for a reason, and it ain’t for what he actually does on the floor.

The only reason it played out the way it did was because of game 1, benching Hibbert.

Yes, that was a stupid move on the coach’s part. But it doesn’t change the fact that Lebron did do well in Miami’s wins.

For this year, I think Indiana can go to the Finals this year if their guards can step up.

I’ve begun to view the nba more as “sports entertainment” than real competition because of the subjective nature in which the games are officiated and played.

There needs to be a new collective bargaining agreement which allows for a more “old school” style of play, but with stiff penalties for stepping over the line. IE. Say whatever you want to each other, hard CLEAN fouls are ok, but if you throw a punch or do something which would injury another player you’re gone for the year, without pay, and you void the remaining years of the contract.

I’ll still watch cause i love the game, but god damn that shit pisses me off sometimes.

LBJ would dominate in the 90’s because he’d be playing along side a real power forward and center.

LBJ would be average in the 90’s 'cause he doesn’t handle excessive contact well and has major trouble finishing over bigger players and all of the coddling he gets now would be nonexistent.

Okay. Whatever you say. Guess my theory on why Sac could never get past LA holds true. hahaha

Hate to admit it, But Sac should’ve beat L.A. in the WCF. Stern grandfathered the Lakers through. Sacramento got hosed.

Thank you! I don’t like Sac, but I’ve been saying that for years. Without looking it up right now, Kobe had that one game when he kept getting call, after call, after call. I was like “Can they make it more obvious that they want this to go 7 games”

Back to reality. Guess my Warriors will continue to live and die by the outside shot. Out rebounded Houston by 24 and still lost.

That was a great regular season game, I can’t wait for them to play again in the ECF. Flash showed up for an evening, always exciting to watch that.

D-Wizzle stepped up.

But I can’t believe George missed that 25-foot jumper.
