Lebron wants max. Will he get it is Miami? Elsewhere?

I thought with everyone opting out they were all getting ready to take less and upgrade the team. I guess not.
Bosh and wade should play for $1 Mill a year. They’re lucky to share the court with LeBron and have him carry them every game.

James definitely deserves a raise. Why should he take less, a lot less, and get paid the same as Wade and Bosh when he is easily twice they player that they are?

If I’m him, I say “F That!” lol. Over his 4 years with Miami he’s missed out on $20+ MILLION dollars in salary that he could have earned. I don’t care who you are, $20 mil is a ton of money.
$10 million per ring. Geez

Anybody watch the documentary on Lenny Cooke…found it very good, what a waste of talent.

Raps are bringing Kyle Lowry back 4 years /48M

Seen bits and pieces. He’s more legend than actual ability. He was a year old for his grade and played inferior comp. As a 19 year old senior he got his ass handed to him by a 16 year old LeBron James at ABCD camp. There’s a TON of high school legends who are a combo of bigger/stronger/faster than their comp 'cause they physically matured quickly, but once that gap closes their lack of game gets exposed. Cooke’s a prime example.

You gotta wonder if there’s inside knowledge on the Heat at play here.

I watched the movie, and stuff like that always makes me skeptical on talent evaluation of young kids, no what im sayin. If i remember correctly there were people saying melo would be better than lebron as well, no what im saying.

How many times did len cooke say, “no what im sayin” in that movie?

I doubt they could afford to offer 4/48M.

The thing about Lowry is he’s had trouble finding a good fit on a team up until last year.

Sure he could play elsewhere with a better talented team but his role would diminish.

Only seen maybe a combined 5 minutes of the doc, but remember him quite well. You gotta understand, he was a legit 6’6" with a massive wingspan and huge hands, but he wasn’t super athletic, had mediocre ball skills, couldn’t shoot and had an attitude problem. When he was put up against guys of similar size but were more athletic (which is basically everyone at the next level) he looked lost. Just another product of the NYC hype machine. If he was as good as advertised, he woulda made it.

Probably should have watched more than 5 minutes of the doc then. The real reason he didnt make it (besides from the BS NYC hype machine you talk of) was he didnt play basketball for 18 months and then entered the draft. Was offered $350,000 to sign on with some BS firm and left his guardian.

I dont if he would have been a quality NBA player, but he had NBA level ability, would he have been a star, probably not but we will never know and while flash and your opinion may be an educated one, we will never know unfortunately.

He counted his chickens before they hatched and so did everyone around him. He might not have been a superstar in the NBA, but he would have been earning NBA paychecks if he kept working on his game and kept the sycophants away. Which is easier said than done.

Matty, he didn’t play in his hs league 'cause he was too old due to that specific governing body’s rules. He was still playing and working out. The NY hype machine is very real. Felipe Lopez, Omar Cook, Eric Barkley, Sebastian Telfair… I could go on and on. Cook legitimately got his ass handed to him when he was a 19 year old senior by a 16 year old LeBron James at the ABCD camp. He was a big kid who was old for his grade and once others physically caught up he looked average. Just the facts. He played minor league ball and played at least one summer league with the Celtics but played mostly garbage time and still didn’t do that well. The documentary makers can spin it any way they want, fact is if he were good enough to make it, he would 've.

Forgot to write that Cooke did play about a third of his senior year. Once he turned 19 he was ineligible. He also played in Magic’s Roundball Classic. Not sure where the filmmakers got that he didn’t play for 18 months. It was more like 4…

Lol I’m agreeing with you by saying the BS NY hype machine. I believe Cooke had the chance to go to a prep school but declined. From what I understand he didn’t play any organized ball.

Alot of those guys you mention especially Barkley and Telfair should of never entered the NBA when they did

Ah, couldn’t tell. Misread on my part. I think you’re right. Guess he was so convinced he’d get drafted he abandoned all other avenues. He signed on with St. John’s but obviously never made it to campus.

Telfair was probably a smart move 'cause if he goes to school he probably never gets drafted. For every Kobe Bryant or LeBron James, there’s 50 Korleone Youngs and Lenny Cookes.

Yikes korleone young! Throw Robert Swift in there as well.
