NBA Season 2013-2014

Anyone find it kinda crazy this play happened 10 years ago exactly as of today?

Doesn’t seem that old to me.

Gonna check out that game tonight to see what all the raging is about.

it’s a weird call, the NBA rule is that if you cause the player to move the ball, like I push your arms and you lose the ball then you get to retain possession, they even looked at the replay and it was pretty clear that it was out on Reggie Jackson. Chris Paul also choked, so I can’t blame the refs entirely.

Both the turnover and the foul (which bailed out Westbrook’s IMPOSSIBLY TERRIBLE decision to pull up from 25-ft out) were unconscionable. It’s hard to overstate just how bad that Westbrook shot was and yet the foul was even worse.

Not at all what you expect to see from 1st-team All-NBA types.

Wise words.

As usual, Grantland recaps it well - » NBA Playoffs Overnight: OKC-LAC-WTF?!

An underrated aspect of Mr 0.4’s miraculous shot was just how perfect Glove’s inbounds pass had to be.

1 - Despite an eventful first round, both conference championships still come down to top two seeds.

2 - IND sure looked poised and well-coached in Game 1 vs MIA.

3 - Does OKC have any chance without PF-Ibaka?

Are they starting Adams or Collison at the 4? Think they start (or at least give the lion’s share of minutrs) to Collison based on experience. Either way they’re gonna have a tough time getting past San Antone.

god help the nba ratings if it’s another spurs/heat finals.

Lebron is going to go beast mode first qt. of game 2, and try to not make it a game early.

please no more spurs.

I posted on another site about how I expect(ed) Indiana to really come out strong in this series despite their form leading to this point. Whatever bullshit has been happening, their goal has been to get to the ECF with home court advantage and beat the Heat. Well, they’re right there, ready to do it. Not only is the matchup much better for them, but the matchup brings out their best because (for better or worse) it’s what they’ve built up to, that this is the series that matters(I might even say they’d tank hard in the finals not because they’re bad but because they seem to have made this Heat series the finals in their heads).

They can put all of that stupid shit in the past because while it came damn close to ruining their season, they are now exactly where they saw themselves being.

What’re the odds Indy goes up 2-0 tonight?

Don’t bet on it.

I’d say low. Lebron is going to come out like a man possessed and take over early, but if that doesnt happen the pacers have a real chance.

Hopefully the league hasn’t already decided they want another James appearance in the Finals and the ref’s let 'em play. Indy’s been better for three straight years. 'Bout time the league let’s 'em play.

I’m bittersweet about the Cavs winning yet another lottery. On one hand, awesome we won the lottery. On the other hand, everyone in the NBA now hates my team, even if they’re not typically a team that garners hate. Oh there’s also the ‘god hates Cleveland’ clause where there’s no chance at all that this pick ends up being good for us(I mean, he could become one of the greats, he’ll just do most of that work after leaving, ahem).

1 - Hilarious that CLE gets a mulligan for last year

2 - This MIA/IND Game 2 is interesting. Obviously the league would “want” a 1-1 series, ideally…

good

Loved seeing bill simmons about to cry last night.

Do you trade for someone like Kevin Love, or roll the dice and hope one of the top players can become Kevin Love.

They have cap space for you know who to come back as well.

Drafts really are the best days in Cleveland sports.

Some bad calls last night. Looks like the Cavs are gonna take a Canadian with the #1 pick two years in a row. How many do-over’s can one team get?

Last year’s #1 was a reach, from what I have read Wiggins is legit.

Cavs also drafted Tristan Thompson in 2011
