For the Miami fans who seem confident: I remember 2 free points to the Heat on the incorrect call of goaltending on Ibaka after Durant had already blocked the shot, plus 3 lucky points to Battier banking in the 3 as the shot clock expired during the crucial stretch run.
Do you remember any free points or lucky shots for OKC?

lol, didn’t you just say above that the block should’ve been a no-call? Free throws followed.
Did we really get to the point where we’re counting lucky shots now? I don’t remember any “lucky shots” from OKC because I don’t care whether a shot is “lucky” or not. It either goes in or it doesn’t. Are favorable bounces or rolls lucky too?
They really need to extend the restricted area to be basically the whole key area. The intent of the charge rule was not to have someone make no play on the ball, or to make no attempt block the shot but just stand there and get run into. It’s ridiculously stupid, it’s one of the hardest calls for the refs to make, so they really need to do something about it.

I still think OKC takes the series BTW.
It goes 6 games max, only because Miami gets lazy.

^^I agree.
So lame that there isn’t a game today. I also am not a big fan of the 2-3-2 format for the finals.
You know I hate focusing on fouls and officiating but Miami got some iffy calls in their favour throughout the game. I’m not saying they would have affected the outcome of the game but some fouls called on Durant were unwarranted.
With that said, Miami played amazing defence and had some nice plays on offence. You knew when they erased that 10 point lead in the 3rd in was their game to lose.

Thats life, every team has a game were calls go there way. Plenty of calls go against Miami as well.
Anyways, let the shit storm begin about all the T-nationers that could have gone pro in the NBA spilling their thoughts about how horrible the Heat are and how LBJ is a terrible player.
^^btw that wasnt targeted towards you, just do not feel like posting again after this.
OKC just didn’t seem like themselves in that 4th quarter. Hats off to Miami, their defense was real good. This series is gonna be better then i thought.
All the Thunder had to do to win this game was make free throws. 15-24 in a finals game?
Miami didn’t even have a great offensive game. All their points were in the paint and they couldn’t shoot for shit from outside. D-Wade had butterfingers throughout the whole fourth quarter. I had to count at least 4 or 5 turnovers on him in that 4th. I’m happy and surprised the Thunder let this one slip away. The dumb Harden foul shows how inexperience can possibly cost you a game. That was SOOOO dumb.
Lebron was solid but I’d like to see better from D-Wade next game. It’d also be nice to see Chalmers show up to play on the offensive side but I won’t hold my breath at this point. He’s got 5 points in the last 80 minutes.

Wade’s 25-7-7 was extremely misleaidng. Not a good game from him.
Heat were lucky to escape that. It should not have been close given how many things went wrong for OKC (horrid FT shooting, even worse game from Harden, Fisher getting almost 30 minutes of playing time for no reason).
Brooks has come crashing back to Earth after his great coaching series against SAS.
Side note, I wonder how much better OKC would be with Maynor running backup point over Fisher. He was pretty darn good, people forget about him because he was injured at the very beginning of the season, but he would be a big help this series. Putting him vs. Norris Cole in the battle of 2nd units would be a huge mismatch.
I still think OKC can take 1 of 3 in MIA and take it back home though. Doubt they’ll play that poorly again.
Lastly, been really impressed with LeBron this postseason. I can’t remember any games I’ve watched when he wasn’t the best player on the floor that game. It’s not over yet but he just looks different (much more detached than last year). Cold blooded (so far).

You forgot the part about Miami being the better team…
Ha, I’m not ready to say that after just 3 games, but it will be a close series for sure. The teams are close enough that whoever makes the best adjustments will pull it out.
Edit: So far Spo is wininng the coach’s battle. He quickly figured out there is no need for traditional bigs and post defense… not playing Anthony/Turiaf a single minute last game while Brooks stubbornly rode Perkins for 34 minutes despite the fact MIA has no one for him to defend under the basket.
Perkins is a great screener (he sets illegal screens that never get called, so it’s a very positive impact) but his main value comes from bottling up bigs with a back-to-the-basket game. Thunder should take a cue from Heat and play one true big at a time.

Bosh also had a good game, came up with some killer O-rebounds
His performance was opposite of Wade’s. Like scj said, Wade’s stats really weren’t reflective of the game he played. Decent numbers but a not so good game for him. With Bosh, you’ll see 3-12 with 10 points and think he had a disappointing game. Meanwhile like you said above, he had some great offensive rebounds and was very active down low. He was getting his hands on everything even though he was the only Heat jersey down there competing with 3 guys from the Thunder.

Lebron’s been a rebounding machine lately too.
Also I saw Bosh with some surprisingly active help D. He was there to meet KD at the rim several times
