This was Kevin Durant’s play-by-play log in the 4th quarter last night. The internet would be exploding if LBJ had this exact performance:
11:26 ? Kevin Durant bad pass
9:00 ? Kevin Durant makes 2-point shot
7:54 ? Kevin Durant misses free throw 1 of 2
7:54 ? Kevin Durant misses free throw 2 of 2
5:50 ? Kevin Durant misses 25-foot 3-point jumper
5:26 ? Kevin Durant defensive rebound
5:06 ? Kevin Durant out-of-bounds lost turnover
3:47 ? Kevin Durant shooting foul
3:36 ? Kevin Durant makes 19-foot jumper
2:30 ? Kevin Durant misses 10-foot jumper
1:06 ? Kevin Durant misses 9-foot jumper
I love how everyone is all over OKC now and talking about how the Heat are a better team and what not (bit nessecarilly talking about in here but on radio and people I’ve talked to)
Does no one remember last years finals? Weren’t the Heat up 2-1 in that series too?
This series is in no way over and is honestly a lot better than I thought it was. LBJ has plate out of his mind this post season and I think he is finally doing what people expected him to be doing for years now… Taking over. He’s pretty much been the best player on the floor for every game this post season and has played great. No disappearing in the 4th quarter. Even though I don’t like him, I like to see greatness and he has finally displayed it consistently throughout the playoffs (although they aren’t done yet)
Oh yeah and Miami shot 11 more free throws last game and won by 6.
Because he can barely hit the backboard on offense? As Scj said, they’re not even covering him. He’s not playing a ton of minutes. They could easily split up his minutes among the other players.

He showed some grit and a lot of hustle during the Pacers series. He’s not hurting them on defense and his offense is equally as bad as Chalmers these last couple games so I don’t mind seeing him get a few minutes of action. They’re pretty short on decent ball handlers when Chalmers and Wade/Lebron have to sit.
Interesting article today on ESPN about how the Thunder aren’t really in trouble and shouldn’t panic.
It also had a few comments on the officiating…
“Durant can’t promise not to get in foul trouble. It’s not entirely in his control. He can’t help it if he gets called for a foul when he jumps vertically and, if anything, Dwyane Wade bumps into him. That’s how it went down at a critical juncture of the third quarter.”
“Scott Brooks could help by switching defensive assignments and asking Durant not to spend as much time guarding LeBron James. LeBron draws fouls more than he receives them. Ask James Harden, who received a foul while bodying up to LeBron near halfcourt when James wasn’t even moving toward the basket. With the Heat in the bonus situation, they were gifted a pair of free throws.”

had to throw those in there trolololol
There were a couple bad calls, but there will always be bad calls. Even to a conspiracy theorist though, fouling Durant out makes no sense at all. This is his time to build a national following.
The bottom line is you have to know your situation and not feebly reach in and slap LBJ on the wrist as he goes in for a layup when you have 4 fouls already. That was a bad play by KD.
Here’s a thought Haralabos Voulgaris (famous successful NBA gambler) had on twitter: If OKC goes small like I keep saying they should, it also stops KD from having to guard LBJ and picking up all these fouls. Could put KD on Battier and rest him on defense.

Did anyone else laugh at the replay of Westbrook hitting the rim on the dunk?
Collison blocking wade, and Ibaka blocking wade were funny. wade acting like he hurt his back, when it was actually his pride was even funnier.
Norris Cole has no place in the nba, right?
I can honestly say, that of all the players on the heat, i absolutely HATE battier the most, and im from Cleveland… They need to get perkins on a fast break when he just stands in the way, and tell perk to go Jim Brown and truck right though him.
