NBA Playoffs 2012

Raptors are linked to Rudy Gay

Apparently Nash’s name is linked to the Raptors as well. Just imagine next years starting squad

PG: Nash, Bayless
SG: DeRozan, Forbes
SF: Gay, Kleiza, Johnson
PF: Bargnani, Amir
C: Valanciunas

Yes I know just rumours and mental masturbation

Prediction: Wade is going to see less calls tonight than he did in Miami, and whether or not he lolligags back on defense to complain to refs (or hoofs it back on D) will decide the game.

Meanwhile, re: tonight’s Game6, GODDAMIT THIS 4TH QUARTER OFFICATING IS TERRIBLY LOPSIDED!!
How anyone could watch last night’s game and not think that the NBA is fixed blows my mind. Yes, the Spurs missed shots late, but the ref’s were giving OKC EVERYTHING. Expect the same treatment for Miami tonight. I’m all but convinced the NBA will “help” Miami on their way to the Final’s so we can get a good guys vs bad guys ending. I like OKC, but how many 4th quarter charges can they draw, or Durant phantom fouls can they get? Was watching with a buddy who knows nothing about ball and even he thought it was fixed.
Break out the tin foil hats, the aliens are coming!!

Crawford and Kennedy are fucking terrible refs. They have shown it over and over again. I do not think it was fixed.
You’ve already stated your opinion on the matter, so why keep responding? SA was out to a big lead, then all of a sudden bad call after bad call goes OKC’s way, the Spurs start getting frustrated and miss shots, OKC starts getting easy buckets and gets in a rhythm, game ends. Same exact thing happened in the LA series. And, those refs aren’t making consistently bad calls. They’re making bad calls going one way. If you can’t see what is PLAINLY in front of you then that’s your deal. The same thing has happened in everyone of Miami’s games, save the last couple. Don’t be surprised if Miami gets all the late calls and they win this series. “Fixed” is probably the wrong way to put it, 'cause the players still play, but the games are CLEARLY REF INFLUENCED. If SA had made those shots late maybe they’d still be here, but playing 5-on-8 can get overwhelming. Also, if Boston wins that doesn’t mean the league isn’t trying to funnel certain teams to the top. But, I’d be really surprised if they win. Watch the reffing [and that goes either way, maybe it’s in Boston’s favor] and get back to me.

That technical on Chalmers just now was hilarious.

Allen missed the FT, ball never lies

Could say the same about you

No. You aren’t allowed to say that. Odds are, one team will get more bad calls than the other just by sheer randomness and law of averages. You can’t say if Miami gets more it’s rigged towards them and if Boston gets more it’s rigged towards them. You just can’t.

BOS will get a few more calls.

So far I counted a BS foul on Pierce, a bad no call when Wade was clobbered, and a horrible T against Chalmers
2-1 BOS

Also, gonna point out, BOS is much more of a jumpshooting team than MIA, and driving the hoop often forces refs to make calls. You’ll get more bad calls if you’re more aggressive simply because there are more “close calls” that have a chance of going your way (goes for OKC vs. SAS too).

Jesus fucking Christ. This has NOTHING to do with the law of averages. It has to do with MONEY. Again, Stern is trying to manufacture a dynasty. Dynasties bring in money. OKC is in. Obviously, a Heat/Thunder finals would be more watched than a Boston/Thunder finals [at least I think], so odds are that by the end of the game all of the calls are going Miami’s way. Unless, the public is so tired if James and Wade’s cheese & whine party that Stern doesn’t have the refs tilt the odds in their favor. If you really believe that what’s going on right now is about basketball, I have some ocean front property in Arizona you might be interested in.

man you guys are fucking annoying.

time to get this thread on track - LAWL at Rondo’s push-ups

apparently dude REALLY needs to feel that back-against-the-wall (see also: Game4 vs IND) before he bring the beast out

Thanks for the links guys. Crazy 30 point half for lebron. I can’t miss the ending of this game. I have a feeling its going to be close At the end

well I predicted on the last page Lebron would have a ridiculous night. So far so good. 30pt half!!!

this guy’s mud as fuck rofl.

I didn’t read them. All I saw was paragraphs and paragraphs of text like this is some essay.

Caveat: The 4th quarter hasn’t started yet.

But - as of now - I can’t remember the last time I saw something like this.

Again, the NBA has no money to make off a dynasty in the smallest market in the league compared to what it’d make off another Lakers championship run.

It’s true that stars get a lot of fluff calls, so even in BOS, Wade/James will get some, but stars+home court are the two areas that fluff calls go your way, and when you have 2 big stars at home in a playoff game
yes, I’m sorry, the math adds up.

It’s still BAD officiating - I just do not believe it’s league mandated. More like a fallacy of the fact that humans and not robots are reffing.

The degree of difficulty on James’s shots tonights is like 9000.

Anyone gonna make the “LeBron is on bath salts” joke or should I?

haha did anyone see Lebron get drenched on his way down the tunnel?
