NBA Free Agency/Offseason: The Return

They hated eachother on the court. Off the court they’re pretty close. That’s the difference here. Same thing with Jordan and/or Bryant, shit even Isiah Thomas. These dudes are all buddies when the season’s over, but while it’s going they want to prove who’s best. And to do that you try and beat eachother, not team up and play nice. True competitors know there are no friends between baselines.

No no no Bird and Magic hated each other from their history going back to the ncaa finals. LBJ and Wade don’t have that history.

Why in the hell do you keep sticking up for the tool named LBJ? Seriously, the level of ghey you feel for him is distorting your brain.

Hmm, let’s see…Bird and Magic are in the top 5 players of all time and they hated each other (equaling killer instinct). LeGay loves his supposed enemies (on the court) equaling no killer instinct which results in LeLoser status of where he sits with the all time greats. Do you have that formula memorized now?
give it up you tool

yeah I cant stand that stuff man. Especially UFC fighter guys who say they’re “warriors.” “going to war.” “In a battle out there” I hate that shit. you’re not a fucking warrior going to war. Thats kind of a slap in the face to the real warriors who are overseas bleeding and dying so that these athletes can sit back here in the US and get paid a lot of money to play a sport. Its definitely a pet peeve of mine from since I’ve actually spent quite a bit of time overseas and seen/done things these “warriors” couldn’t even comprehend… Such bullshit.

Ok end Rant

back to basketball
Bad misinformed rant. Fighters ARE going to war. People die in the ring. People become permanently disabled in the ring. There is another man attempting to do you harm. Yes sir, it is war. It is combat. Period.
bullshit… complete bullshit. You are wrong sir. they are highly paid entertainers not warriors.

here are the definitions of the words:
War:
noun
a state of armed conflict between different nations or states or different groups within a nation or state

Combat:
noun |Ë?kämË?bat|
fighting between armed forces

This is your counter-argument? That they weren’t friends in the early part of their relationship (but they were later) and LBJ and Wade were friends from the beginning???

Do you re-read your own retarded arguments? LBJ took the easy way out to try and ride Wade’s coattails. Everyone knows it. Give it up.

Yup he is now a warrior!! While David lee got injured during team usa practice…

C.J. Watson to Bulls.

I haven’t seen much of the summer league games but Lin has been great with the mavs.

Nice!! Rolling over to a second page!

So who do you guys think are the biggest winners/losers so far in the FA period?

Winners: Pat Riley, Wesley Matthews, Amir Johnson, Drew Gooden, Bulls, Mavs

Losers: Richard Jefferson, Amar’e Stoudemire (if no one joins him in NY), Bobcats
I don’t think NY is a loser. They always had a back up plan and have the cap room for the next two years. There is a good chance of signing Melo and that point guard. They are already talking about it. I’ve followed their plan in the NY Post since they started shedding players and contracts and they’ve always acknowledged LeBron may not come there. They do have a back up plan. Now their plan is extended a season or two.
I agree. I just feel they didn’t make out as good as they should have. Plus they sent David Lee to GSW, so now they only have one main weapon instead of two. For this year, it may not look great for the Knicks. If they bring in Melo, Tony Parker, CP3 or someone of that caliber next year, then things will definitely look up for them.

SWEET!!! Good for him and the team. He’s from the Bay Area so nice to go home, as well as drawing in more of the Asian demographic to basketball.

He’s gonna be good. Should get some significant minutes off the bench, then hopefully blossom into a starter. His leadership skills are there, as well as his shooting ability.

Kobe took the easy way out by playing with Shaq and Pau. MJ took the easy way out playing with Pippen and Rodman. Magic took it easy playing with Kareem. Lebron should have stayed with thr great Mo Williams and Anderson Verajao then and only than can he be mentioned with the greats who had awesome teammates. See how stupid you sound.

you are the worst man. Its not even funny anymore when everyone already knows your a troll.

Its better when people say “oh you cant be serious” but we all already know you’re not serious and that you dont know what you’re talking about. You just say things to get a response but its lame when people already know that your intention is just to get a response.

drewdines = troll fail

but to actually respond to your post (as if you are a serious contributor)

Kobe didn’t leave his team to go join up with Shaq or Pau.

MJ didn’t leave his team to go play with Pippen or Rodman.

Magic didn’t leave his team to go play with Kareem.

Do you see a reoccurring theme here? None of these great players left their team to go somewhere else and try to win. (which is what james did)

For the fifteenth FUCKING time nobody was going to CLEVELAND. And I’m a troll. Jesus Fucking Christ of course they didn’t leave they had teams that brought them people.

Kobe- Pissed and moaned for a trade till the team got Pau
MJ- Pippen top 50 all time NBA player. Rodman was one of the better defenders in the league. WHo would lead that? Different situations
MJ- Again why would he leave? Everything is fine when you have weapons around you to win.

Lebron not only got out of craptastic Cleveland,Ohio for warm south beach but he could set up his own dynasty. Anybody with some intelligence about basketball knows Lebron is the guy in miami not D-wade. Cleveland failed to give Lebron anything to work with. He carried that team an next year without him they will be a lottery team with a high chance at one of the top picks.

Last season, I been to 5 warriors games, and there are shit loads of asian fans, me being one of them. But you’re correct, there will be even more…

A few other teams were interested in Lin, including the Lakers. However, he wanted to play for the home team.

You really are this fucking stupid. Kobe got drafted out of high school, he didn’t “choose” to play with Shaq. If anything, he was accused of “choosing” not to so he could win them on his own. Pau Gasol is a good # 2 man. It’s still Kobe’s team. Lebron is like Pau Gasol now.

Magic didn’t “choose” Kareem. And Magic quickly became “the man” on that team as well. Who said anything about staying in Cleveland fucknut? How about something like Chicago where Lebron could actually “Lead” a team instead of relying on Wade to try and bail his weak ass out.

You are a fucking idiot.

For the sixteenth time you fucking idiot, no one is saying that he HAD to stay in CLEVELAND. Chicago, NY, etc where Lebron could actually be a fucking man instead of a pussy going to Wade’s team. You’re fucking stupid and a fucking troll.

Bullfuckingshit. Wade won a championship as “the man” in Miami. Wade owns Miami. You ever hear of Arod and Derek Jeter. Do you think after the Yankees won last year’s championship that everyone is looking at Arod as “the man” now? Or are they saying “this is Arod’s team”? Fuck no. Just like what will happen to Leloser.

Kobe is #1, Pau is #2
MJ is #1, Pippen is #2, Rodman is #3
Wade is #1, Lebron a pathetic #2. Lebron ain’t no #1 and never was. Couldn’t handle it. Your arguments are full of logic holes.

Awesome, that’s cool he’ll be adding to the Asian demographic. And that’s good they go right now as well (I’m Pakistani-American, so I’m southwest Asian, but obviously not seen as ‘traditional’ Asian).

J-Lin also has a shoe deal in the works. No company names released yet, but that’s awesome.

Wade does not miami they are a football town first. Wade won his championship on one of the most epic collapses of a team any championship series has ever seen. Wade won a championship 4 years ago with a still dominant Shaq. What has wades career been since? A bunch of one and dones and not getting it done in the playoffs. Lebron carried a bunch of misfits through the playoffs. Averaging triple double through the playoffs would be the only way for them to get it done and that is next to impossible. He left a shitty team and a shitty organization. Lebron is the 2 time defending MVP who carried a incredibly bad team for 7 years. His numbers in miami will be godly along with improved defense from not having to carry the entire offensive load.
