NBA Finals 2013

Did you listen to the commentary? Because, you know, that was the point of the video…

You are trying too hard to be purposefully ignorant. The fact is the Spurs have only had 3 losses these entire playoffs thus far, Tim Duncan has been putting up big numbers (incredible when you consider his age), Tony Parker is the MVP of the playoffs as of right now (would change if LeBron and the Heat win) and the Spurs are the best coached team in the league, period.

Don’t act like the Spurs haven’t looked like the best team in the league throughout these playoffs and the Heat didn’t just have a 7-game series with the Pacers.

You spur fans know nothing about basketball. The heat dominated you guys and lebron james didn’t even play well. Not to mention green was out of control beyond the three point line and you still lost by 15+. Keep thinking that old man duncan and ginobli are going to get their ring, they were both invisible this game.
I don’t think anybody on this board is a Spurs fan. I want them to win, but only because one of the players went to my alumni. If the series went 7 games I would not complain who won.
I’m a long time poster in the NBA threads on here and I’ve been a Spurs fan for 10 years now. Some guys who don’t usually post in the NBA threads posted on the first page of this thread saying they were Spurs fans (dudes from Texas).
Fair enough. I just assumed everybody was just rooting for them just because.

Havent read anything in the past few pages but I gotta tell you, when Lebron had that block, the arena got pretty rowdy. Damn near lost my voice from screaming. Was in the lower bowl, 20 something rows from the floor. What a game.

Are any of you guys into basketball sneakers?

If so, which do you guys like?

Would you guys wear these?

Fuck no. I wouldn’t wear any James shoe, especially that ugly piece of shit. I’ve thought every shoe he’s come out with looked awful. I also find it funny that every game I’ve paid attention to the shoes he’s wearing, he’s had on red foamposites, not his sigs.

Recently bought the Air Penny V’s. It’s Nike’s (maybe any companies) first time reissuing a sneaker line after the player’s been retired. They’re light, comfortable and fit well. Took a bit to break in though. Gonna hoop in 'em tonight for a bit before I lift.

hahah

I always enjoy it when you rip into Howard and/or Lebron. Funny stuff.

Interesting about the red foamposites. Gonna keep my eye on that.

As for those shoes I agree. The reason I mentioned it is they were limited release in chicago, NY, LA and Washington in-store only. You had to enter a lottery just to buy them and they were going for $200/each.

People are now reselling them on Ebay for as much as $5000 though I’ve seen (from the glances I took) most going for about $2500/pair.

Penny was one of my favourite players. I use to have a poster of him on my wall as a kid.

I just bought a pair of Kobe System 8’s… like’em but they’re for style not ballin’.

Manu Ginobili, Danny Green and Cory Joseph are all wearing LBJ’s shoes.

Not even if you gave them to me for free. I used to be into sneakers when I was younger but now I just get my basketball sneakers from the outlets. Which reminds me, I need a new pair for my over 30 league which starts soon. I’m going to shy away from Nikes this time because they’re narrow as fuck. The last pair fucked up my feet even though I kept hoping they would eventually break in. Never happened. The dude at the Nike outlet looked at me like I was retarded when I asked for a wide size.

I don’t know, either my foot as getting way wider as I age or they’re making Nikes more narrow. I’ve been wearing them my entire life and just started noticing the narrowness over the last few years.

That’s interesting.

People rave about Nike Free’s on this site, but when I tried on a pair it felt like my feet were going to burst the shoes from the sides.

pls tell me you only wear these shoes while playing basketball.

pls

I’ve seen quite a few dudes wear ‘em. Have you played in any of the other Kobe’s? I’ve known several people who swear up and down they’re the most comfortable hoopin’ shoes there ever played in, but with my injury past I’m reluctant to try low tops. My all time favorite basketball shoe was a shox Nike released in '05-ish, but I forget the exact name. I’d buy 5 pair if I found 'em again.

I am really into shoes and I hoop in Kobe 8’s. I have hooped in Kobes since the V. Kobes are the best of the Nike signature line. They are light, do not need any break-in, and have great lockdown. I actually have four pair of the VIII’s. Honestly, the best Kobe yet. If you are looking to get a pair I highly recommend them.

I have not, but stefan is right that these things are mega light. I was just at foot locker and compared to the Lebron X and the CP3’s the Kobe 8’s weigh absolutely nothing.

They are also mega comfortable.

Haha, I wear elites when I hoop but no way in hell am I pay $40 for custom socks. Those socks are too much for me style wise, anyway.
