NBA 2014-2015 Regular Season Thread

I wouldnt say there have been bad 30 for 30’s, but some have been more interesting than others.

if roy hibbert was good at basketball and russian he’d be TIMMAY mosgov. He looked good last night, and is exactly what the cavs needed. He’ll be starting soon.

Mashburn’s another one. He owns a ton of chain restaurants and car washes I think. Some of these dudes are sharp enough to know it won’t last so they prepare. Most aren’t and wind up broke. [/quote]

I wonder if Cuban might’ve tried that Kidd/Jackson/Mashburn core for longer than what ended up happening

No idea if this is true, but there’s a long standing rumor that Kidd and Jackson had a fight over Toni Braxton and Kidd demanded a trade. No shit.

^^ Hilarious that I can recall that same rumor. So then it must be true.

Too bad no instagram in those days.

Dude, can you imagine the crazy shit we’d know about Jordan, Barkley, Magic, etc… if there was social media back then? It’s crazy to me that people like Dwight Howard have “fans” with all of the crazy shit that’s come out about him. Think about the shit that’s still hidden…

anyone catch Barkley accepting rick ross’s 100k bet that the heat will have a better record than the cavs? Then barkley raised it to 200k.

And people wonder how these dudes go broke.

Anyone catch Brandon Jennings murder Kyle Lowry the other night? Good Lord. The Pistons look like the '96 Bulls since dumping bad shot Smith.

No I missed this game, but Kyle Lowry has been running on fumes the last 2+ weeks. Dude’s been playing heavy minutes and pretty much put the whole team on his back in DeRozan’s absence.

That’s nuts. They switched Ross on him for a bit but Jennings was going apeshit. When’s Derozan coming back?

Man, that sucks. Hate to say it but it’s time for him to hang 'em up. I really hope people appreciate what he’s done,'cause when he’s gone we’ll never see another one like him.

Can’t believe he even stayed in putting up a couple left handed in the game; that actually has some media discussing whether he gets shut down for the season. His toughness is respected so much that it’s not just assumed he’s out with a torn RC in his shooting arm? That’s insane.

Sad to see it end like this though, with this season and now this injury(and last year’s achilles tear). Not everyone gets to go out like Elway.

Klay Thompson 37 in a quarter

new record

I dont know if it’s being tough, or being a giant douche staying in a game and shooting with your other arm. It’s been well established this season that Kobe is out score points for himself regardless of the rest of the team, and i find it incredibly selfish to go back into a game injured just to chuck up awful shots. Give it a rest, and know when to say when.

Couldn’t disagree more. He’s focused on getting everyone involved and has taken way less shots. He’s a guy that can still get his shot when he’s 50. He hasn’t been able to get his legs consistently under him this year. A year and half off due to injury and being thirty-six will do that. He only took two lefty shots and made one.
