Second day of playoffs hasn’t exactly been as exciting as yesterday. Hopefully OKC and Houston is at least moderately competitive. Houston needs to contain the OKC offence from the first-tip if they want to have any chance of winning.
Watched the LAL-SAS game, pretty terrible.
I think this HOU-OKC series could go 6 but probably 5.
That was just brutal.
Its gonna be a short series for Houston. I’ll be shocked if they can bounce back from that one.

Yeah it was.
I saw them beat OKC at home this season. I can see them taking at least one at the Toyota center

I dont know, after the way OKC steam-rolled through the playoffs last year, and after last nights game, i have a hard time believing that the rockets will fair any better.
Either way, this is the series that has me the most interested at the moment.
I’m watching this Bulls game right now and if I was a fan I would be so pissed of at Derrick Rose. This series would be a lot easier for Chicago with him. Rose’s injury happened about a year ago and still isn’t back. To me he is being a huge pussy. He dominates in practice and that is full contact, so I do not get why he can’t come back. He was cleared a couple of months ago… If I was a fan of DRose my love for him would be fading. All this talk about he should come back when he feels ready is nonsense. Anyways, just thought I would put this out here for discussion.
P.S. I am not a fan of DRose, I think he shoots too much. He is Westbrook with not as good jumper and more out of control than Westbrook at times.

Did you just basically say he is a poor man’s westbrook?
I never thought id see the day someone said Rose was more OC than Westbrook…
And im a Chicago native, and a Rose fan, and im glad hes sitting this one out.
Gotta say im pleasantly surprised by the Bulls. A bit of confidence restored. They can ride this momentum back to Chicago and potentially get a big leg-up in the series here.
By no means am i even remotely expecting the Bulls to go all the way, but for my own confidence, and for the Bull’s confidence, i would love to see them make it to the second round without Rose. I want them to be able to say, look, we got this far without him, imagine what we can do with him. (and a healthy Noah and hopefully a solid addition to the roster after getting rid of Rip and possibly Taj)

A healthy DRose is the 5th best player in the league. He’s got the quickness and versatility of Russell Westbrook but he has a much larger basketball IQ, better leadership capabilities and a profoundly validated drive to get better each year, which he’s done since his time in the league.
I would be so happy if the Bulls won the whole thing without DRose, and not because I want the Bulls to win. I want DRose to feel like absolute shit for not playing a part in it, hahahha.
Yeah Chicago does not like Derrick Rose right now, but of course when he comes back we’ll give him a 5 minute standing ovation or some bullcrap.

I understand people’s frustration over not seeing Rose at all this year, i think he is definitely playing it too safe, but though my heart wants to see him participate in the playoffs this year, my brain tells me its not the time to try and come back.
I wrote this season off a long time ago, i dont know why more bulls fans havent, but im over it. I hope the Bulls at least make it to the second round, if only so they can realize what a capable team they are even in his absence, and because this experience has made guys like Noah, Butler and Robinson really step-up and improve, and thats only gonna help when Rose is back.

Rose would be ready to play if they got to the finals.

Thats honestly the only way i want to see him return at this point.

Yeah, I agree. I’m also a Bulls fan and I support DRose waiting till he’s 100%. I dont know why people are not recalling last season, where he was partially injured and decided to play despite being injured, and the result: out for the regular season. Apart from that, Butler and Robinson have had great seasons, and if Butler can get comfortable in this series, they will have the tools to have a proper defense against the Heat. Don’t know how well we can expect that series to go though…

Haha, that is exactly what I said. Westbrook has a better jumper, is definitely quicker, and I would give the bball IQ to Rose. I don’t have a beef but I just think he is overrated. And to the dude who said he is the fifth best player in the league when healthy, please stop with that nonsense. He barely makes the top ten in my eyes.

A year with no D-Rose on the court has clearly fucked with your eyes.

So you’re telling me that DRose is a top 5 player??? Please say it isn’t so…
