Didn’t Miami beat the Bulls 2 years ago 4-1?
I like how Noah has grown over the years. Very solid player.

what bull fans fail to realize is that they arent that deep of a team. Miami is so stacked its insane. Besides the big three they have chalmers, allen, battier, anthony, lewis, jones, miller; its as if this team was built perfectly. All these players are great at what they do…chalmers is clutch, battier is smart and clutch, allen is clutch and smart, anthony is great on D, lewis is long and can hit threes…not to mention how great of a team chemistry this team has…chicago has a longggggg way to go.
I whole-heartedly disagree with that. Miami is deep, but the Bulls at 100% roster are just as deep.

The Bulls with D-Rose, Deng, Noah and their other pieces are a formidable unit, you don’t have to look far back to see how good they were (read: the season before D-Rose got injured) but saying they’ll beat the Heat and win championships in the near future, is a bit of a stretch. They are a contender but LeBron James is LeBron James and not even Kevin Durant in any capacity matches the overall package of what LeBron can do out there.

I like the optimism by Bulls fan, its definitely warranted seeing the potential roster they will have when healthy, and Chicago is a basketball city, but let’s not just ignore the Miami Heat, who by the way just got off the second longest winning streak in professional sports.
I dont think its any more of a stretch than saying that the spurs or thunder have the potential to win a championship, or any other team in the NBA.

Heat is the team to beat for sure. They are no Jordan’s Bulls though. They are beatable.

lol @ Bulls not deep

Been thinking a bit about this today, but is Monta Ellis available as an unrestricted free agent in the off season or did he take the player option? Might be time to trade Boozer & Rip.

Rose, Ellis, Deng, Gibson, Noah

Oh lord

Ellis is too ball dominant and too much of a defensive liability to work on the Bulls. I wish they woulda got JR Smith a couple of years ago. And as for Noah, yeah, he does get a fair amount of to’s, but it’s because he’s such a willing (sometimes too much so) passer. He’s probably the best passing 5 in the game right now.

Yeah im not big on the idea of Ellis coming to the Bulls. I still have dreams about Rudy Gay in the bulls’ starting lineup…what could have been…

Do you foreign guys have nba league pass to watch games? If so how is it?

Dirk fucking Nowitzi. Just unstoppable today.

Damn Lakers are really going to have to fight for that 8th spot.

The Bulls have no one to blame but themselves for that loss. They had plenty of opportunity to put that one away.

And yeah, all-star performance from Dirk.

Article is tangentially related to the NBA, given that the guy investigated(Ed Rush) was the NBA head of officials from 1998-2003, a period of time that includes multiple playoff games Tim Donaghy alleges were at worst fixed, at best altered, by referees(Lakers-Kings series, Lakers-Blazers series are the 2 big ones that come to peoples’ minds).

Yes, and that was the first year this Heat team was put together. They’re WAYYYY better this year. If we get to see the Heat play the Bulls in these playoff’s it’ll be 4-1 or 4-2 at best. With or without Rose. Let’s not forget that the Bulls were also win #9 during this 27 game streak so it’s not like the Heat couldn’t get past them to make this happen.

I think the Pacers have a better chance of beating the Heat than the Bulls in these playoffs.

And who said Rose is even returning this year?

I dont think anyone said Rose is returning this year. At this rate i hope he isn’t.

Listening to Tim donaghy on the local radio, pretty interesting stuff. I know he’s just pushing his book, but it all makes sense.

Ok. I was reading alot of “when Rose comes back” and was assuming people were talking about this season. I don’t want him to rush back either and think he should sit this year out. He was an amazing player to watch and I think it’s best for the fans and the team that he let that ACL heal properly.

I just think he’s gonna have some rust to shake off, as anyone would. The play-offs is not the time to be shaking free the rust. Might as well just let him start fresh next year, couldnt hurt.

An NBA career isn’t very long in the context of your life. Hell, life is too short as is. If the doctors say my cartilage and ligaments in my knee have healed to the point I can exert my maximum effort on the court, then I want to play because I know how short an average NBA career is. I don’t even know how long mine will be. Yes, the injury has a part in dictating my longevity but if the doctors say I can play, I can play. The argument from Rose seems to be that while he’s acknowledged the doctors’ approval, he wants to come in 100% ready. Rose needs to realise the only way he’s going to be game ready is to play in an actual game.

This isn’t an RG3 situation. The doctors in the RG3 case stressed conservatism. He didn’t really listen to them in coming back earlier than he should have, which was validated when he got hurt against the Seahawks. Funnily enough, the Seattle injury could have been avoided if he listened to the team doctor and didn’t re-enter the game after that first hit that warranted a medical examination.

You could also look at it from the perspective that Rose is still very young, with tons of potential, and has contracts worth hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars. If thats me, and i’ve already missed an entire season, and the odds are against us either way as to going to the finals, i may play it safe.

Dont get me wrong, i cant wait to see him back in there, and part of me wants it to happen by april 14th when they face the heat again, but realistically i think he should sit.

Plus if he comes back this season, he’s gonna be playing limited minutes. I want to see him in there full-throttle.

The low probability of getting to the Finals is the only legitimate reason D. Rose may want to sit out. From that perspective, I agree, but let the guy play at least once this season, even if it’s in a limited capacity, just to see how he moves and what he can do.

Hypothetically, if they could get Rose and Noah healthy by the playoffs they could challenge the Heat.

God watching the Lakers play defense today was just brutal. They literally look lost out there.
