NBA 2011-2012 Season Thread 2

^^im wondering if the NBA is going to start doing what the NFL does and review fouls (flops) and dish out fines?

I think that could be a good idea. I know in pro soccer they actually red card and eject players for extremely blatant flops… That would be hard to do in the NBA but reviewing extreme flops ad fining for it would be good.

you think his smugness stern is actually going to call out lebald for flopping? he dint even get a foul called for throwing an elbow at Granger, but when Granger said WTF he gets a T…

Also, Wade decided to be ronnie lott on a play and dint get shit…

it’s a joke to me, but glad to see the pacers pulling through. I think theyre the better team, and even when lbj was in Cleveland, Granger always played as if he had beef with lbj.

We really gonna act like Kobe doesn’t deserve the lion’s share of the blame for game 2?

Lakers were up 7, Kobe misses 4 or 5 shots in a row, OKC closes on a 9-0 run to win by 2.
Let’s not forget his terrible inbound pass that started the whole run.

I’m giving them a shot. FWIW I think Vogel is a better series coach than Spo. Obviously unproven at this point but last years Bulls - Pacers series, Bulls got pushed each game and had to work their asses off.

Enter a year later. Same coach, improved Team with Hibbert stepping up and picking up David West. Better chemistry and actually able to close out games which they were starting to do when Vogel took over.

They’ll push this series to the end. Would love to see a Pacers - 76ers ECF!!!
Great post, just want to add that Paul George is much improved and is another big reason they are better. He’s gotten a lot better at shooting which keeps him on the court more.

Spurs have to be the favorites by a landslide right now. They are a fucking buzzsaw and totally healthy. Saw a great stat - Clips shot 9 of 13 from three and still lost by 17.

Like I’ve been saying, the Spurs are the best basketball team on the planet right now. Think the only team that ould give 'em trouble is the Thunder, but honestly don’t they’d win more than two games before SA crushed 'em.

these 7:30 games are the worst. I hate how they start so late.

Asshole.

I spent alot of time on the west coast last year, and it was great having games end before midnight. Plus with dvr, you pause the game if it’s too early and come back and watch with no commercials.

Anyone think the thunder step on the lakers throats tonight?

You mean, “Anyone think the Lakers come out and beat the Thunder like they should have last game.”

Yes… the answer is yes.

Tell me about it bro! They usually aren’t over till after 10… I need my beauty rest.

I feel for you guys. The games are live here at around 2:30PM.

EDIT: Should clarify - 2:30PM = 10:30 ET

Magic won Finals MVP as a rookie…

Greatest Laker of all-time in my opinion.

Y’all hear that Miami cancelled practice and media day today? That sounds pretty heavy. If Indiana takes this series one of the big 3 gets moved.

Is anyone watching this Philly game? Philly has heart, man. I’d forgotten just how much shit Boston gets away with. Shit’s rididculous. I hope Philly pulls this out.

Wow what a nasty block by Jordan Hill on Durant

Maybe he thought his girlfriend was trying to dunk on him, lucky for Durant he dint also get punched. KD followed with a nice dunk. If this game is close, the lakers will lose.

If the heatles dont win it this year, someone has to be moved. They have no cap space to add talent, which they are seriously lacking. I love Norris Cole, but he’s too raw to lead them to the promise land.

Spo will go before they break them up. Bosh’s contract is over priced, doubt any team would pick him up. Move LBJ or Wade and you are putting a hole in that team. I seriously doubt LBJ would go if it did end up like that which leaves Wade …

Would be interesting to see what a Wade trade would bring Miami. I see this a legit chance IF and ONLY IF Chalmers steps up and starts producing as a PG consistently.

The ref’s are absolutely raping Artest. He’s had at least 3 majorly bogus calls go against him, including the double tech. The Lakers need to close this out strong or it’s wrap city.
