Dallas and Utah in triple OT as I type this…

Touche but at least he showed us why he’s the best player in the game right now.
I forgot you went, looks like you had good seats.[/quote]
I think he’ll get MVP.
Yeah, this is the 1st time I ever had good seats. I’ve always been turned off by the ridiculous prices but I figured I’d splurge for once. Going to Newark really sucks though. It’s just as ghetto as I remember it from college. Brooklyn should be an upgrade for the Nets.

You know Prokhorov and Jay-Z want to move them to Brooklyn.
Chicago lost to the Wizards(. . .)tonight too, just when you think the Heat were completely out of the #1 spot they pick up a full game. Two and a half back(2 in the loss column) with 5 to play for CHI, 6 for MIA, and 1 game against each other in Miami.
Bulls remaining schedule: @CHA, @MIA, DAL, @IND, CLE. 3-2 not completely out of the question, which could open it up for a tie(I have no idea who would own tiebreaker, someone look into it?).
Heat remaining schedule: TOR, CHI, WAS, HOU, @BOS, @WAS. Clearly an easier finishing schedule, even if Boston has had their number. If they win that Chicago game they might have a legit shot at #1 seed still.
Edit: While I typed that, Clippers went on a huge run to seal their game vs OKC, which means SA+OKC are tied for #1 seed in the west now.
Blake Griffin loves playing the Thunder haha

That’s a done deal. They’re scheduled to start playing there at Barclays Center next year.
It’s for the best. Even the in the 2 seasons when they went to the Finals, the arena was half empty all season. This is when they played next to Giants stadium with plenty of parking. Moving to Newark didn’t help attendance at all. Less parking + thugs roaming the perimeter of the “safe zone” at the Prudential.

OH SHIT! LEBRON CLOSED A GAME!!!
17 consecutive points in under 5 minutes IN THE 4th QUARTER! YES, this is what we’ve been waiting for from you LeBron James.
I REPEAT: LEBRON CLOSED A GAME!

Much less impressive performance than his DET closeout back when he was with CLE (given the quality of defense and importance of game). We all know he CAN do it, there is just no rhyme or reason to when he succeeds at it vs. when he fails.
Novak!
Dude can’t miss.
Listening to Marv Albert shout “Metta World Peace” is still not getting old.
Lakers got clapped up quick by the Spurs.
GO SPURS GO! Deep squad + All-Star caliber talent + Coach Pop is a winning formula
This Heat/Bulls game has me salivating at their almost inevitable ECF series, and that’s with Rose and Bosh riding pine. These teams clearly do not like each other.
Taking a couple of days off from work and catching the Spurs/Blazers game on Monday in San Antonio. It’s pretty much a meaningless game, but my girl’s from Portland and she’s never seen the Blazers play outside of her hometown so figured we’d check it out. Meant to catch the Rockets/Lakers game from a couple of weeks ago but lost track of teh calender and missed it. Wanna catch a Bryant game live before he hangs 'em up, so next season it’s on.
Howard is out for the season.
There goes the Magic’s chances in the playoffs and any attempt to woo Howard into a long term deal.

Is he gonna suit up for that game?

I dunno, he already committed to next year, theoretically if they’re great next year he’d stay. But they’d have to make every personnel move based on making him happy and from the sounds of it he has no idea what makes a winning bball team (in terms of the guys who he’d like on his team).
Also he publicly said he will not play for SVG even if healthy. Considering how much beef he’s had with a top-5 coach I can’t WAIT to see how much he likes a coach who sucks.

Don’t have cable right now so rarely get to watch it, but PTI was on at the gym the other day and they were absolutely ripping Howard apart. Basically, they were calling him a cancer and saying that anyone who gets him needs to be careful 'cause he’ll destroy your club and not care about anyone but himself in the process. They did say his back surgery shouldn’t scare teams though 'cause the guy’s been the Cal Ripkin of basketball up to this point. Obviously the Magic are gonna move him before the year’s out, but what’re they gonna get in return? Are teams gonna offer full value for a spoiled primadonna fresh off a serious surgery?
Meh, all elite players except for maybe Derrick Rose are prima donna’s. It basically comes with the territory.
As well, the report of him not being willing to play for SVG has been refuted.

I guess in a league that’s short on talented centers, these guys (Bynum and Howard) can act like knuckleheads. I agree with what the guys above said and think Howard’s antics will bite him in the ass. I disagree that his back surgery won’t scare teams away. You can’t “undo” a herniated disc. Look at how back problems affected McGrady’s career. It’s one of those injuries that just get worst with time.
