I have to say I’m really curious to see how NYK does the rest of the season. Woodson is D’Antoni’s polar opposite as a coach.

Putting Chandler and Melo into Orlando makes them worse. Chandler is a (very) poor man’s Dwight, and without someone in the post who commands a double team, all their crappy wings who can’t create their own shot will be blanketed. Melo will have to create 100% of their offense. To sum up: their offense gets worse and their defense gets slightly worse.[/quote]
Even before the D’antoni resignation I was thinking long term. Assuming Melo isn’t on the decline and this is just a down year, they could reload and build a pretty good team moving forward vs a complete rebuild when Dwight leaves.
I’m not really thinking of what fits ORL’s system currently but overall talent coming back.
Some new news:

According to these people Dwight has agreed to stay in Orlando through the 2012-2013 season.
Edit:
This rumor is gaining steam, I think it might be true. All eyes are now on the Nets and Derron Williams.

Fair enough. If I’m ORL, I keep Dwight, if he re-signs you keep a legit star and an annual shot at making noise in the plyaoffs. If he bolts, you aren’t stuck with a middling playoff team, you bottom out the very next season and get a high draft pick.

That’s what I’ve said from the beginning. Take a run at the title, then if he walks go into the lottery. A player as dominant as Howard doesn’t come around very often.
I would take Melo and Chandler for Howard and Turk though. I don’t think Melo is as bad as he’s shown this year.

Good to see ORL management have some balls.
Looks like Howard isn’t committed to ORL in 2012-2013
Waiting for the Big Chief Triangle rumors…Fuck Phil…I dont need him and his cape to come save us…
^^ LOL
So now are we going to have Lucasanity?

I would have bet my life savings he was going to miss those last 2 free throws, he looked so damn nervous it was making me nervous through the TV. Props to Wade and JJ for making it interesting, Lebron sucks again in the 4th quarter.
Howard is the real ‘Big Baby’ in Orlando.
You’re not gonna believe this but Howard has changed his mind…again.
Been following this story all night. @MisterRudolph tweeted he had an exclusive interview with Dwight after the SA game. He writes for RealGM, so I checked him out and it looks like he lives in Orlando and is friends with Dwight. Here is the interview:

@sam_amick
Source who spoke w/ Dwight Howard after interview w/ @MisterRudolph was told by him that he’s committing thru '12-13 & will sign ETO waiver
Confirmed by Amick, who is one of the better NBA tweeters.
I’m going to bed now, I guess when I wake up we’ll all know if this is true or not

All this sounds like a PR move by Howard and his “team” so he doesn’t catch LeBron James type heat from the public. The guy is a clueless, spoiled jackass who’s more concerned with his off the court image than winning ball games.
I haven’t been following the Celts too closely… Can someone explain to me why they keep putting up Rondo on the trade block?

They haven’t… I’m pretty sure they put him out once (for Chris Paul, which is understandable) and now rumors are constantly running. Ainge keeps saying he isn’t trading Rondo rather emphatically.
Dwight is staying inORL for another year
Press conference going on now
Pacers just acquired Barbosa for a 2nd round pick.
