NBA 2011-2012 Season Thread 2

This is absolutely hilarious, and worth the click for the top picture alone:

Oh and here’s another random nba related pic.

When I watching Kobe’s 81 pt game, I took a shot of the TV.

It still hurts to this day…[/quote]

You saw that game live Raj? That’s awesome. I’ve seen the whole game replay a few times, and what people forget that the Lakers were down pretty big at the half. Bryant had something like 54 in the 2nd half, and should’ve wound up with at least 85 but a couple of buckets were waived off. The crazy thing is that Bryant put those numbers up in the flow of the game. He was moving the ball and playing within the game, instead of forcing everything. Remember my girlfriend at the time was bartending and she sent me a text saying something like “Kobe scored 81” and I wrote “that’s gotta be a typo”, haha.

Ya I did. What I remember most was that the raptors were up big for most of the game. I thought Kobe was just making the usual 3rd quarter push that teams do when down big at the half. I actually almost turned the game off in frustration .

Hilarious. And I’m assuming that NY jersey is Jeremy Lin (you know you’ve arrived when they’re sneaking you into spoofs like that)…

So there are all these rumours swirling around the Bulls acquiring Howard and now Gasol.

I have to ask, why the fuck would they do anything? They are playing awesome right now. If there’s any truth to these rumours they must be scared as hell of facing MIA again in the playoffs.

If the playoffs started tomorrow would you pick the Bulls or the Heat in a best of 7?

Heat, but if the bulls dumped boozer for Pau i might feel differently

MIA just went on a 6min 20-0 run against ORL.

Unbelievable.

Warriors just fucked themselves. Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown to Milwaukee for Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson. Unless they tank it for the rest of the season and end up with a top 7 pick, they also lose their draft pick this year to Utah. Bogut’s out for the year and Jackson is a fucking cancer who plays the one position the Warriors have depth at. What the fuck…

Bogut and Lee will be a top 5 frontcourt next season. Jackson is a total fucking knucklehead though and I wouldn’t want him on my team even if he played for free. Losing Monta hurts, but Udoh is looking like a bust and Kwame Brown is one of the biggest scrubs in the league.

Bogut/Lee/Curry is not bad at all, assuming Curry can stay healthy. Kid has glass ankles it seems.

I read that rumor, I also read he’s refusing a deal to the Bulls, I also heard this morning on Mike and Mike the Magic’s president is offering to let Dwight decide the fate of SVG and the GM (fucking ridiculous if true).

So many rumors, I’m getting sick of it. Every time I think about it I see Dwight’s goofy dufus ass face and I get even more pissed.

Turn on the MIA-ORL game, it’s going into OT

Udoh cracked the starting lineup (not hard to do with Biedrins in front of him) and has played well. Throwing him into the mix is what makes this deal hurt, as a Warriors fan. It’s just one more in a long line of promising young players who will play well for another team.

As far as Bogut goes, I like him IF he’s healthy. But he rarely is, and the Warriors are so snake-bitten he’ll probably make Oden look like Cal Ripken.

Oh, and Milwaukee plays in Oakland this Friday. I hope he lights the W’s up for 50.

Mia falling apart in OT. Lebron up to his old tricks. Guy is bricking everything in OT

Bosh and Wade look pissed

Wade wasn’t any better.

As a Lebron and Howard fan, that OT was pretty frustrating to watch. They both played completely into their criticisms. Lebron bricked everything and Howard couldn’t make a free throw to save his life. His FTA weren’t even close either. A few them barely scraped the rim! He went 6-18 from the line in the game.

Howard’s free throws are in the conversation with noah, except noah somehow makes it.

some of you older guys may have probably seen this. but i was checking out dunks the other day and this guy has crazy hops.

I have no idea what this means, but the NBA store is selling Dwight Howard Nets’ jerseys. Check the link, they’ll probably take them down soon.
