my god those guys are amazing

this is where its at for bodybuilding IMO. the top WNBF physiques are the best physiques in the fitness world (in my subjective opinion) although i may not have these guys genetics, i truely think i can some day get close to that level, which gives me a life long, healthy goal to work towards!
I agree, those physiques are incredible.

The guy on the left has a perfect build IMO.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Except I can’t tell if he’s got cell tech traps or not…
Nah man, it just those super black genetics

Seriously though. He looks phenomenal. Maaaaybe combine the guy to his rights midsection for maximum awesomeness? But that’s just nit picking

The pic appears to be enhanced, but those dudes still look absurd. But, part of me still thinks they’re all about as natural as the patty on a Big Mac.

If they were smoother, and wore board shorts I might believe they were natural

Ya it’s hard to not be cynical. Especially considering many physiques that have necessitated drug use don’t even look as good as those ones.

The gentleman on the left is Shevon Cunningham, a Middleweight Wnbf Pro. He’s won his class in the past, but this year took home the overall. Usually the Middleweight class runs 160 - 176 lbs. Of course normally there are only 3 weight classes in the Pro Division of the Worlds (contest this photo is from). This year, with so many competitors, they made 4. So while some of the guys who came in at the very ends of their weight class may have gotten bumped up or knocked down, I have a feeling Shevon wasn’t affected. He’s been a Middleweight for as long as I’ve known, so I would venture to say that it’s a safe bet he’s anywhere from 165-175 lbs.

Also, while I’m not sure of Shevon’s particular height, Brian Whitacre (Second from the left in the image, usually~165 lbs contest weight) is 5’9 for certain. Keep the image of these two men in your head the next time some guy on an online forum is making predictions about how much he’ll weigh in contest condition if he were to ever decide to compete.
(Obviously, Whitacre and Cunningham are two of the very best in the world, but I’m sure you get my point)

Those guys have amazing physiques and Shevon has my perfect physique.

It’s super humbling knowing how light you actually are if you are shredded to hell and back. Off season Shevon is probabliy 195-200lbs and still in dam great shape I’m guessing.

Exactly what I was thinking. I’m quite certain I wouldn’t mind looking like he does at 200lbs in the off season lol!

X2.They all look amazing.

Wish I never looked up WNBF worlds on google. Makes me feel super duper small. Especially after seeing Martin Daniels.

I agree. In my mind that is the image that I strive for. Dead on.

Not saying this applies to these guys in particular, but a lot of “naturals” are just guys who are not using PEDs lately. For obvious reasons that disqualifies them from counting as natural, but there is no way of filtering them out.

They look fantastic.

Also pays to be the height of a Hobit, but hey…what you got is what you got

While you are correct in that no one can ever truly know, because just how accurate is a polygraph or even a urinalysis if it’s only testing for certain substances within a very short time period?

The best you’ve got to go on in terms of “natural” contests are the federations that choose to make their standards, and banned substance lists extremely lengthy and extensive. Take the Wnbf at one extreme, with a 7 year period, and a banned list that includes a ton of stuff you can walk into a GNC and buy right now. At the other extreme of the ‘natural’ federations is the Team Universe, which requires a 1 year ‘clean’ period, and allows pretty much anything that’s not an outright classified steroid (that means Prohormones, Diuretics, etc are all fair game).

Also, if you take a look at the size of heavyweights in a more stringent natural federation vs a lesser one, you’re going to find that the stricter one’s “big guys” aren’t really as monstrous SOUNDING in terms of their stats (seeing them in person is another thing though -lol) as some people might think. ie. most Heavyweights in the tougher natural federations are plenty tall, or else they wouldn’t be much over 200 lbs in contest shape.

S

Stu, can you comment regarding your thoughts on the 7 year drug free period in the stricter federations? I’m not quite sure how I feel about the rule…on the one hand, it would be pretty harsh to ban a guy from ever competing in a natural federation if he did a cycle or two when he was a young lifter and stopped using after a relatively short time. However, I hate the fact that there are without a doubt guys who have likely used for years and built such a solid base of size, and now have been “natural” for 7 years.

Disregard if this is broscience, haha, but I personally believe that many PED users will still just have that denser or “different” look to them even long after ceasing use; I don’t think that size built just goes away

Ran across this guy the other day, Anton Antipov. IFBB Physique guy. 5’11, 180-190.

The story is he joined the NPC because of its popularity, but before knowing it was untested. He claims lifetime natural.

I would venture a guess that he’s actually telling the truth, and that his physique is actually attainable naturally. Everything seems to fit right in line with the “pre-steroid” lifters, height, weight at '60s bodybuilding contest lean, and his build.

I think it’s a good look, personally.

Ha. He looks almost exactly like the trophy.

Not sure if he’s natty in particular, but wholly agree that’s a naturally attainable physique.

I’ve kind of followed Anton Antipov since getting into lifting. Just one of the first guys I was ever “I want to look just like that!”

Not sure if he’s natty or not, but regardless it’s cool to see him getting some recognition.

While I don’t doubt that some of the pros are “clean”, the testing procedures of WNBF is next to useless. Out-of-competition testing is where the money is at, when it comes to catching cheats. On the day of competition testing only catches the retards. Furthermore, the accuracy/validity of polygraph testing is highly doubtful, even without countermeasures.

My point, since you can’t rely on the testing procedure, you have to take the athletes’ words…
