Natural Gyno?

Alright guys,

First of all, much respect to all those who use / or don’t use but are entirely privy to the physiological effects of gear. I have to tell you, straight up, that I have never used AAS.

But right now, and this is /not/ the first time, my nipples are absolutely killing me and it’s driving me nuts. I haven’t touched a drink in 2 weeks, but I went out to the bar already tonight and got a little tipsy - and I only feel even more aggravated by the sensation of flaring pain in my nipples.

My intention tonight was to get a lil inebriated in order to numb this sensation that kicked in about 5 hours ago. I have been getting 8-12 hours of sleep a night for the past 8 weeks - usually around 10 - and have been doing oly lifts and compounds in 2 hour sessions 4x a week for the past 2.5 months and I feel like I really might be experiencing gyno.

I do not want to incinerate any flamewar, but in all honesty I do think there is a good chance that given my genetics I have very high natural T levels. I say this only b/c members of my family are known throughout Ireland for displaying feats of great strength. This probably seems stupid, but if I mention my grandfather in public in Galway, the immediate response is “that was a strong man” and all these nearly ridiculous stories of feats of strength (he was a very well known builder). My brother, my father, and my grandfather were all internation level cyclists. Now that I have taken up oly lifting I, too, am building freakishly huge calves (seriously, not normal - and I’m not trying to be an Internet bad ass) like them…

Now they have made names for themselves in their sports. This is purely anecdotal, I know, but it is the only thing I can think of when I think “why the fuck?”

My nipples look puffy, very red, and I am freaking out. This is the third time I’ve gone through this, now every time it seems to leave a little bit of extra tissue in my pectoralis region. I am not overweight, if anything I am underweight.

In your educated opinion do you believe that there is a realistic possibility that what I am experiencing could be natural gyno, or no? I’ll hit up my doctor if it’s possible… Thanks for the advice.

Yeah it could be gyno, just go to the doctor. He probably wont do shit for you except check for lumps and tell you yes or no. Maybe try and get some nolvadex.

Get your estradiol levels tested by your doctor. If your estradiol levels are high which they probably are, then see if you doctor can prescribe some low dose Arimidex.

i also have natural gyno, i was told that since ive had it since i was 15 or so ( im 18 now) that the only way i can get rid of it is surgery, but i was also told that a nolva, arimidex or chlomid might work, i got some nolva and some nolvachlomid, and it made my gyno significantly smaller, gonna try upping the dosage for a week or so, see if it brings it down even more. nolva is easy to get your hands on.

Does socialized medicine cover gyno surgery?

Time for a review. Unfortunately, can’t post it from the source at the N. Engl J of Medicine.
Go to nejm.org, the issue date is Sept 20.

Too many gyno threads, and there is just too much misinformation:

To the OP: if you are more than 18 yrs old, see a doctor (there is a benign cyclic form which you may have.)

To Dylanj: Most guys (and 30 to 50% of guys get this) grow out of it in 6 months. If it persists, some docs would be willing to treat it medically, but the treatment is not “some” nolvadex; it is often 3 months at 20 mg per day.

To t-man200. Maybe yes and maybe no.

To dopaminelover: A. High estradiol is not necessary to gynecomastia, and does not direct a treatment. B. Check that dopamine; that stuff can ruin your valves!
