well if this topic is about sleeping and recovering, eatin carbs before bed blunts GH release over night due to the rise in insulin. GH is an excellent recovery hormone (which doesnt really need to be said) so before beds gotta be a protein/fat meal…
i usually take 40-50 gms casein in 16oz. water or milk with 4 tbs peanut butter with 3g leucine and 10g glutamine. oh and 4 fish oil caps.
my usual routine is get home from the gym around 7:30-8 40g whey with 75-80g carb then an hour later a big meal with some sort of meat, right b4 bed the above mentioned shake. i agree with alteredstate it depends how much time b4 sleep u eat it because i have bad gas next day too
I swear, at this point, I am surprised some of you don’t know that your time could be a little better spent doing something other than worrying about minor Gh secretions. Your goal should be to eat in whatever way produces results for your own body.
If some skinny guy with a lightening quick metabolism actually stops eating carbs at night because of Gh release even though that may be exactly what his body needs, he would be doing himself a disservice.[/quote]
I agree and I have a solution!
Just supplement with GH ;D
lol just kidding…or serious for some
lol

How much of an idiot do you have to be to ask if SLEEP AND EATING helps growth?
I mean, what the fuck happened? Do the human race say “fuck it” to common sense, and won’t believe ANYTHING unless a study proves it?

That is EXACTLY the case.
Naps are great as long as you keep em short.
Now i have a question about the last meal of the day before sleep. I usually eat protein with some healthy fat. It’ll either be salmon with tomato salad and some added olive oil, or turkey with a few nuts and again some olive oil and tomatoes. Is this a good choice?
I am currently on a fat loss period and it’s going fine until now, but i’d like to hear some opinions on this.

whats ur goal? are u trying to bulk up, maintain or lose weight? a muscle building slammer to bulk up would be my shake mentioned above. it also leaves u craving a huge breakfast the nexxt morning which is very valuable. if your tryin to lose weight yours are not bad choices, you might want to exclude the tomatoes as they contain carbs and lycopene which has been proven to blunt IGF-1 (i know its an anti-ox and prevents prostate cancer, but thats what the study shows)
