Not only have I taken the piss out of his complete lack of originality, I have also included a knock on modern corporate ‘physical wellness’ culture and advertising/promotion practices, all in one go. The magic lies in the fact that it seems so prosaic and expected, pinpointing the idea that OPs website is also prosaic and expected. I also wrapped all of this up in such a common ‘trying just hard enough to look serious but not so hard as to give up the gag’ package, that it just slips right in without anyone realizing just how loaded the name actually is. It’s the fucking trojan horse of ironic humor.
And then, at the end, I throw in that bit where I act all excited about the sports bit.
There are so many levels to this it’s crazy.
Not sure on what to name your blog, but what you definitely need is a way to direct people to your site when they didn’t KNOW they wanted to go to your site.
